  • BTR News: Did Fracking In Hawaii Cause Earthquake That Caused Latest Kilauea Volcanic Fissures?

Tonight we will speak to Sean Hunter, a resident of Hawaii who has been looking at the negative impact that fracking has had in Hawaii as power companies are trying to tap into the energy produced by Volcanoes. The recent opening of new volcanic fissures on the Big Island of Hawaii is being blamed by some on the Puna Geothermal facility operated by Nevada based Ormat Technologies which uses a form of fracking to generate electricity. Fracking has long been associated with causing earthquakes and an earthquake is being cited as the cause of Kilauea's recent activity. Hawaiifracking.com cites other incidents that have occurred due to the activities of the Puna Geothermal facility.

When speaking to Mr. Hunter yesterday, he recommended watching the 1965 science fiction film "Crack In The World" that seems to predict disastrous outcomes when man tries to tap into the energy produced by Volcanoes.

  • BTR News: Is “Snitching” What We Should Call It When Cops Break Slave Catcher Culture Codes?

BTR News - A recent viral video clip shows out of Mesa, Arizona shows a mob of men in blue uniforms brutality laying kicks and headshots on a defenseless 40 something-year-old black man being on the receiving end of those blows. Of course, the men in blue were local police officers engaging in violent behavior that invokes the roots of the culture which comes from American slave catcher patrols and militia.

The former slavery abolitionist press known as The Atlantic published an article in May 2018 with a headline calling on "Police to Start Snitching". Let us review portions of the article to see if it has any constructive suggestions on how to combat the culture of slave catcher violence in America. A significant portion of the text is devoted to Black culture and "snitching". Portions of text attach the slang term "snitching" exclusively Afro American culture or society which itself seems problematic in an article presumably focusing on the cause of the current high rates of violence in the culture of law enforcement. However, the context of the piece does make some glaring observations about the criminal nature of incidents of police on citizen violence.

Popular Youtuber Jamarl Harris, as usual, delivered some biting commentary the other day calling the mob of cops "Animals" with thick necks who found a way to make a living brutalizing people.

Donald Trump is attempting to get through a known white nationalist through Congress. from a so-called "think-tank" that SPLC has labeled it a hate group based on its founder and its continued advocacy towards ensuring the United States remains a majority Euro-ethnostate.

The SPLC reports, "On Thursday, President Trump nominated Ronald W. Mortensen, a fellow with the anti-immigrant hate group Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), for Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. "
Sign the petition: Trump picks racist hate group fellow and white nationalist to oversee refugee resettlement! - CREDO Action
Trump has publicly courted the white nationalist since his 2016 campaign and to further court that vote, he is nominating white nationalists to key positions within the Executive branch of the Us government. Is Donald Trump's nomination of Ronald Mortensen an attempt to make good on "promises" made to white nationalist according to David Duke? Mortensen's nomination has come not long after Trump's remarks on "shithole" countries with non-desirables.

What is the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) and who is this white nationalist John Tanton and how is he connected to Trump's nominee?

Will the Black community turn out in support of the new Spike Lee Joint "BlacKkKlansman", a film that he calls his "wake-up call" to the world? Spike Lee

In addition to going over some the news of the day, we will speak with Clear The Airwaves Project's Kwabena Sakidi Jijaga Rasuli about rap beef in hip-hop. A rap beef is usually connected to dis records, a dis is where one rapper says something disrespectful about another rap and sometimes it is just to generate a marketing buzz to see unites but a lot of time it seems personal and has resulted in killing.

In the wake of the recent rap beef between mainstream rappers Pusha T and Drake, rapper A$AP Ferg said..."I love that shit. We need that shit. We need that shit because I'm gettin' a feelin' that like when Nas said hip hop was dead, he was on to something. At first, we was like 'you wildin',' this that and the third but he foreseen it." "I guess Chief Keef—you know, he's a gangsta rapper. He promotes violence," Tekashi says in the video. "I guess he has a lot of beef in these streets. I don't know who's he beefing with that wants to hurt him, but, it's definitely not me. I'm actually a fan."

  • Conservative Dinesh D’Souza Makes The Case For Pardoning Black People Selectively Targeted By Law Enforcement
BTR News - Bombay, India born Dinesh D'Souza, a naturalized citizen and conservative propaganda filmmaker that helped push the debunked claim that Barack Obama was born in Kenya, also known as birtherism, was recently pardoned by the birther President Donald Trump who claimed that D'Souza was "treated unfairly". D'Souza appeared on CNN AC360 with Anderson Cooper to discuss the merits of his prosecution where he readily admits to setting up strawmen, one being a mistress, in New York to exceed individual campaign contribution limits in violation of US law. However, D'Souza without intending to do so made a case for the mass pardoning of Americans and others selectively targeted by law enforcement in the United States.

D'Souza, who admitted to breaking the campaign finance laws, but served no prison time, served up as his main argument against his prosecution, that he was selectively targeted because of his politics. While offering no proof that he was selectively targeted because of his politics, he suggests that he should not have been prosecuted because other people like Rosie O'Donnell violated campaign contribution limitations and were not prosecuted. While O'Donnell did not run the same strawman scheme to give more than allowed, he is correct in that she has of yet not been prosecuted for exceeding individual limitations.

However, D'Souza who is like most conservatives who accuse Black people of always playing the race card, it does not seem to occur to D'Souza that O'Donnell is a white woman and he is a dark skinned person of Indian descent and an immigrant whereas O'Donnell was born in the United States. While D'Souza isn't above being a hypocrite, he never brings up race or his place of national origin because he knows it would harm his following among his suspected racist white fans who will confer honorary "whiteness" on non-white people who help advance their white supremacist ideology.

This is why D'Souza would never argue that Black people and Hispanics should be pardoned from prison, a place he escaped after the Obama appointed judge decided to give him probation instead of a prison sentence, for committing non-violent victimless drug crimes, especially those convictions pertaining to the manufacture, sale, and distribution of cannabis to consenting adults, a plant that is being legalized in many states.

Although D'Souza did not argue in court nor present any evidence that he was seletively targeted, there is ample evidence from several organizations studying criminal justice issues, that shows that primarily Black people followed by Hispanics, have been selectively targeted and prosecuted in the 40 plus year old failed drug war first launched in the United States by the Republican President Richard M. Nixon and continued under each and every adminstration since Nixon including Barack Obama's adminstration who refused to change the status of cannabis in the DEA's scheduling of drugs and only commuted the sentences of a few token prisoners, never issuing them pardons.

Targeting persons within the jurisdiction of the United States of America is a federal crime and the federal government has failed to enforce those laws within the US Justice Department or upon the many State's Attorney Generals who are blatantly not just ignoring civil rights laws written into their state constitutions, but actively violating the civil rights of its own citizens based on race, ethnicity and national origin.

D'Souza should stop whining and offering up nonsensical defenses without evidence for campaign finance violations that he admitted to committing while knowing he was intentionally committing a crime for which if he was a Democrat, his birtherism buddies would have been demanding that ICE deport him back to his place of birth in India. D'Souza never spent one day in prison slavery as authorized by the 13th Amendment which wa...

  • BTR News: Did Donald Trump Model His Campaign After Klasman David Duke?

Actor Topher Grace who plays the white nationalist terrorist and former politician David Duke in Spike Lee's new film BlacKKKlansman discovered something troubling about Donald Trump while researching Duke for his role.

Apparently, according to Grace, Donald Trump copied the campaign slogans and chants of David Duke, that Trump and his supporters have become very fond of saying since the former reality tv star started running for president in 2016. The slogans "America First", “Make America Great Again”, "Build A Wall" and later "Build The Wall" were all central themes of former Ku Klux Klan (KKK) Grand Wizard David Duke's political campaigns for public office.

Duke himself acknowledges on Twitter that he started using the slogans before Donald Trump whose campaign was criticized for using the rhetoric of white supremacist terrorists but that did not stop CNN and other outlets from giving Trump what amounted to billions of dollars in free campaign ads. David Duke says he will not sue Donald Trump for intellectual property theft unless the Trumpster reneges on the promises Duke claims Trump made to white nationalists.

Trump's popularity with Neo-Nazis and White Supremacist Terrorist and their sympathizers apparently was a campaign strategy from the start orchestrated by using the chants and slogans they were accustomed to hearing from people like David Duke. Donald Trump has been credited as he should be, with emboldening overt and formerly covert suspected racists proud again to wear their racism on their sleeves.

  • BTR News: Memorial Day, US War & Propaganda

Today is Memorial Day in the USA where most people treat it as just a day off from the job and a chance to do a little traveling perhaps visiting relatives. While there had been previous unofficial or state level observances where people paid homage to the casualties of the American Revolution, it was not adopted as an official holiday by the US government until after the American Civil War. For Black American people, free and recently freed former victims slavery "on May 1, 1865, in Charleston, South Carolina, held a parade of 10,000 people to honor 257 dead Union Soldiers, whose remains they had reburied from a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp".

Today all US casualties of war are remembered and thanked, often disingenuously for sacrificing their lives which sadly, were killed in wars that had nothing to do with protecting "freedom and liberty" but died fighting to spread American imperialism and to take the land of Native Americans.
