The 1944 film the Lodger, an adaptation of the 1913 novel of the same name (as opposed to the 1927, 1932, or 1953 film adaptations) is discussed. The mysterious Mr. Slade takes up residence in the home of the rightfully suspicious Bontings amidst a spree of murders taking place in nearby Whitechapel, the gruesome handy work of Jack the Ripper!
