BLACK WOMEN IN RADIO (BWIR) supports wellness advocacy. We are proud to support the next generation of therapists. Meet Phallon Foxworth!
Phallon, originally from Detroit, MI, is a class of 2018 graduate of Spelman College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has identified her passion within the field of psychology and aspires to attain her doctorate. She envisions her career path including work with individuals who are incarcerated and providing therapeutic services to those who could not usually afford it. In 2017, Phallon began a scholarship fund, Rosa's Angel Scholarship, Inc., for Detroit youth who are entering their freshman year of college. The nonprofit organization was established in honor of her grandmother, a breast cancer survivor, who taught Phallon about the importance of giving back. The organization has provided six young scholars with assistance in attaining their Bachelor's degree to date. Phallon is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and received her Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine in 2020. She is currently working as a therapist with adolescents and young adults.
