This week we have another amazing math teacher, Andi Rojas, at home in the Blades' FAMILY Reunion. Andi has been back home at EB for a few years, after spending some time as a middle school teacher here in East Bakersfield. We are glad to have her back home and I hope you enjoy her story.

This week we have our current Assistant Principal of Instruction, Mrs. Sydney Peterson (nee Howard) joining us on the Blades FAMILY Reunion. Sydney graduated with the class of 2000 and is in her second year back home at EBHS. Sydney's journey back is another unique tale of a Blade being resilient and she shares it with us.

This week I was able to get officer Calvillo on the phone for our FAMILY Reunion podcast. Officer Calvillo is a graduate of the class of 1998 and he shares his pathway back to EBHS. For any student who is considering going into law enforcement, this episode is a must listen. Officer Calvillo continues a long line of the EBHS officer being a graduate of the school.

This week I got ahold of coach Chavez right before the Superbowl, just after he threw some ribs on the grill for his family. While his ribs cooked low and slow, we discussed all things Blades FAMILY from his perspective. It is a fun interview and I hope you enjoy it.

This week our Lead Food Service Worker Ms. Lynda Valdez joins us for the Blades FAMILY Reunion. Lynda is from the class of '96 and she shares her story of perseverance and determination with us. Lynda and her colleagues continue to make sure our students eat well through the pandemic.

This week we discuss the Blades FAMILY with one of the hardest working Blades around, Ms. Regina Montano. Monty is the band director at EBHS and is a graduate of the EB class of '96. Nick runs groups and performs daily check-ins with some of the neediest members of the Blades FAMILY and coaches on our track team.
