Blake joined a AAA boys team at a young age in her home state of Ohio— that started her competitive career. She said “her dad was nervous and knew she would be crushed if she didn’t make the team”— luckily for Blake, she made it and excelled. 

 

18 Minutes in — Blake chats about decision making  at age 13— how  she needed to move to Lake Placid NY to play at a high level with females in order to play at the collegiate level. — She went on to play for Boston College afterwards (also discussed in this episode). 

 

Blake happily chats about how incredible her professional ice hockey career was as well!
