What can I say? I finally completed the full set of moMENtum Lifestyle blokes. Blake is a truly inspiring person and one that I gel so well with. Having only recently come out of a rough 18 month period in September where he received hit after hit, he dug deep and found something on the inside of him to keep going. He's now on the path to creating generational change in men and their mindset along with Dylan Roos and Janoah Van Kekem who feature on this podcast. Blake has always been someone who has talked about ego and so in this episode we delve into exactly that. My three key takeaways are:

1. Change starts with self-awareness. If you want to change anything you first need to become self-aware.  

2. Our ego is not a reflection of our true selves. It is a reflection of how society has shaped us. The ego too often rules how we live our lives resulting in negative actions and events. We can change this though by first becoming self-aware of ourselves. 

3. In any relationship, we shouldn't be trying to control or change the person. If we don't like something then this is often a reflection of our ego talking. We just need to let that person be free and be who they truly are and once we do that our relationship will flourish.
