Last week, we talked about getting our shit in the mid week mantras post—and we are. We’re working on showing up for ourselves, reclaiming what was ours, and stepping into our power. But here’s the thing: Getting your shit also means knowing when to sit down and rest.
This week, I’ve been quieter—not as many posts, not as many voice notes. And you know why? Because I actually take my own advice from time to time. I’ve been resting. Not because I’m sick, not because something is wrong—just because I needed to.
There was a time when I only let myself rest after my body forced me to. I would run myself into the ground, ignoring all the warning signs, until exhaustion took over. That’s not the life I want anymore. So consider this your pattern interruption: If you know you’re creeping toward burnout, if you keep pushing yourself past the point of exhaustion—this one is for you.
Sit down. Rest. Everyone will be okay if you take a break.
Break Free, But Also Slow Down
The Pegasus card came through as the first pull this week, reminding us that we are not containable. We are meant to expand. But that doesn’t mean running yourself into the ground. True expansion also means making room for rest, stillness, and care.
✨ I stand firm in everything I have claimed for myself.✨ I allow myself to expand into everything I am meant to be—without exhaustion.✨ What got me here won’t get me there—I open myself up to new ways of being, including rest.
Then came the Fertilizing card—because once you get your shit, you have to nurture it. And that includes you. Growth requires care, intention, and boundaries. Ask yourself: What have I been feeding my spirit? Have I been pouring into myself the way I should?
✨ I nourish my spirit with care and intention.✨ I protect my peace and release what depletes me.
Then Self-Worship stepped in as a reminder: You are sacred. Rest is a form of self-worship. Honoring your body’s need for stillness is just as powerful as showing up for the hustle. Have you taken a moment to sit with yourself and say, I deserve this pause?
✨ I honor myself as divine. I worship myself fully, including my need for rest.✨ My worth is not up for debate, and neither is my well-being.
And finally, the Manifestation Card. Because once you gather, protect, and nurture what’s yours, you set yourself up to receive even more. But exhaustion and burnout block blessings. Manifestation isn’t just about what you say yes to—it’s about knowing when to step back and what you say no to.
✨ I am a magnet for everything that is meant for me.✨ I trust that rest and stillness are part of my expansion.✨ I do not have to run myself into the ground to be worthy.
The Cards Confirm It
The Seven of Cups reversed showed us that distractions and overcommitment can pull us away from ourselves. The Queen of Pentacles reminded us to pour back into ourselves, to be our own nurturer, to ground deeply.
The Strength card told us to stay firm and resolve our internal contradictions—the ways we say we want one thing but act in ways that keep us from it. And the Ten of Cups? That’s the reward. The peace that comes when you stop fighting yourself and fully step into who you are.
And then, the Ace of Pentacles, sitting right beneath the Manifestation card. At first, it appeared in reverse—reflecting the hesitation, the doubt, the feeling that we have to exhaust ourselves to bring our visions to life. But this time, it didn’t feel like a hard no. It felt like a maybe—a reminder that the power is there, but some adjustments need to be made. So instead of flipping it upright or leaving it reversed, I turned it sideways. Because we’re not blocked, we’re just fine-tuning. And one of the biggest tweaks? Trusting that rest is not a setback—it’s a strategy.
✨ I believe in my own magic. I claim it, protect it, and grow it—by turning up the dial when I need to and resting when I need to.
So here’s your reminder: You didn’t come all this way just to let your shit slip through your fingers—or to burn yourself out trying to hold onto it. Get your shit, keep your shit, and rest when you need to.
What are you holding onto this week? Where do you need to rest? Drop it in the comments—let’s claim it together.
