5. God’s people are to persevere and bear witness.

Sacrificial Giving:

*Is motivated by love

*Shows dependency on God

*Shows faithfulness

*Surrenders all

1. A relationship is to know Christ as Lord. (20:41-44)

               *Believe in who Christ is and what He has done

               *Trust in and surrender to Him as Lord

2. A religion is more concerned about impressing people. (20:45-47)

               *Lives for self (flesh)

               *Focuses on man, not God

               *Comes with a greater condemnation

1. Sound Doctrine Matters.

2. Biblical context is important.

3. If you are in opposition to Christ, then you are not in submission to Christ.

4. Sound Doctrine will affect how you live.

5. Sound Doctrine will lead you into a deeper love for Jesus Christ.

6. Hope for eternal life hinges on you holding to Sound Doctrine.

1. God expects you to avoid religious hypocrisy. 

2. God expects you to submit to proper government authority.

3. God expects you to submit to His absolute Sovereign authority.

1. God expects fruit.

2. God sends messengers.

3. God sent His only Son.

4. God will punish sin.

5. God’s Sovereign purpose will always prevail.
