Episode 29 features Mikey Young, guitarist and member of Eddy Current Suppression Ring, The Green Child, Ooga Boogas, and Total Control. It's a bit different to do a write-up here on Mikey, as he's sort of become this underground music mystic who's had his hands in countless well-respected albums and recordings and, as of more recent years, has had international artists, labels, and bands reach out to him to have their work mixed and mastered. 

In this chat, Mikey speaks about the early days of Eddy Current and Total Control, growing up in Frankston, working through fear, his love for film, living without a smart phone, staying independent as a band, labels, and more.

Episode 28 features Emily Jans, a boxer, kickboxer, and drummer in Australian hardcore band Straightjacket Nation. Emily, who won the 2012 Australian Amateur Boxing title and now retired, is training and coaching others in her new clinic, 'Off the Wall', a boxing community space in Collingwood also run by Kristy Harris, a x4 time National Boxing Champ.

In this episode, Emily speaks about finding the drums as a youth, her boxing and kickboxing journey, how Straightjacket Nation formed, why she felt the need to start 'Off the Wall' with Kristy, and more.

Episode 27 features Ben Clement, a photographer, director, filmmaker, and the founder of Good Sport magazine and AM:PM.RC.

Ben's work is centred around sport and movement. Having worked with the likes of various brands and well-known athletes, as well as local runners and smaller sporting communities, Ben has intertwined his early love of different subcultures and music scenes and is now bringing forward new ways of capturing movement and sport, often through still shots, showing intensity and rawness elegantly.

Episode 20 features Anu Kumar.

Anu is a photographer born in India and raised in Australia who has used photography as a medium to connect her two homes. In 2022, Anu released a book titled "Ghar", a series of photos that contemplate the complexities of "home" and all that comes with that. Most of the photos in the series capture the inherent familiarity of home, family, and connection. Anu spent most of her 20s going back and forth between Australia and India, curating this book, which would later be published through Perimeter Books.

On this episode, Anu speaks on how she got into photography, how the book "Ghar" came about, influences, the cultural differences between India and Australia, social media, and more.
