We have the pleasure of speaking with Erin Hamilton, our Curriculum Specialist here a BLaST Intermediate Unit 17. Erin, thanks so much for joining us today to discuss educational solutions for all. Specifically, we're going to be discussing early literacy. More importantly, how caregivers can reinforce early literacy in their homes.

Today, we talk about the importance of mathematics and having the right mindset with your child or children when it comes to the subject.

Today, we talk about the importance of writing. How many times a day do you take advantage of the opportunity to write? No, not essays or research papers; but, writing as simple as a list. Think about it. Do you allow the same opportunities for your child?

Today, we talk about the importance of reading. What kind of a reader are you? How much do you, yourself, value reading? Ultimately, we are the models for our child or children. The skill, the habit, starts with you.

Today, we will continue talking about the basics, but most importantly we will emphasize the importance of YOU! Yes, You!

Today, we’re heading back to the basics. You guessed it, basics 101. I mean, it’s never a bad thing to ground yourself in the fundamentals, right?

This season, we will focus on providing solutions for caregivers as they navigate distance learning. So, let’s get started!

It's been quite the journey these past couple of months, but it's time to go on and write our narrative. Take what we have learned in the previous episodes and create, together, with confidence. 

How will you respond when faced with adversity? Our students are watching. Our communities are watching. It is our time to step up, show up, and lead by example.
