  • Can Luis Morales be the A's Future Ace?

It’s a solo episode this week as Tyler breaks down everything happening with the A’s as the 2025 season enters its final month. The focus is on the opener against Seattle, where 22-year-old right-hander Luis Morales impressed in just his fourth MLB game (third career start), tossing six innings of two-hit, one-run baseball with six strikeouts and no walks. Morales, the A’s No. 3 prospect, has rocketed through the system since signing out of Cuba in 2023 and looks like a major piece of the future.

At the plate, Brent Rooker hit his 26th home run of the year in the first inning, while Jacob Wilson returned from injury, hitting fifth in the order and driving in a run. Nick Kurtz batted leadoff, continuing his strong rookie season.

With two more games against the Mariners on the road before hosting the Tigers in Sacramento, Tyler also discusses what’s left to watch for in the final month and whether this season can still be viewed as progress for the A’s despite the standings. As always, he closes with the Favorite A’s Memory segment.

    Topics covered:

    • A’s recent games vs Mariners

    • Luis Morales’ breakout start

    • Rooker’s 26th HR and Wilson’s return

    • One month left in the season outlook

    • Upcoming games vs Mariners and Tigers

        • Why the A’s WON the MLB Trade Deadline

The A’s made the biggest move of the MLB Trade Deadline — and it might change the franchise forever.

In Episode 18 of BLEAV in A’s, Tyler and Devin (with Luke on vacation) react to the massive trade that sent Mason Miller and JP Sears to the Padres in exchange for Leodalis De Vries, MLB’s No. 3 overall prospect, and three promising pitchers.

It’s the kind of deal you rarely see at the deadline — a reliever flipped for a potential superstar. We dive into everything it means for the future of the A’s in Sacramento, plus cover all the major trades around the league and the team’s dominant 16-7 win over the Nationals.

          We dig into:

Who is Leodalis De Vries and why he’s a big deal

Why this deal could define the A’s rebuild

        • What Will the A’s Do at the Trade Deadline?

The MLB Trade Deadline is almost here, and the A’s have big decisions to make.

In Episode 16 of BLEAV in A’s, Tyler, Luke, and Devin break down what the front office might do as July 30 approaches — including potential trades involving Luis Severino, Luis Urías, and Miguel Andújar.

With the team sitting at 42–61 and the pitching staff near the bottom of the league, the A’s could look to sell off short-term vets and retool around their young offensive core. But what happens if they can't find any takers — or if the offers are underwhelming?

We dig into:  Severino’s future after bashing the A’s ballpark

Urías’ trade value & Gelof’s looming return

Andújar’s rehab assignment & potential fits (Padres?)

Will the A’s package players for better returns?

Are Mason Miller & JP Sears off-limits?

          Plus:

the latest roster moves, speculation from MLB insiders, and predictions for how this deadline will shape the A’s path to Vegas.
