Taylor recently wrote a book titled "Walking Alone: The Untold Journey of Football Pioneer Kenny Washington."

Taylor details what he learned about Washington’s life and career in the 1930s and 1940s.

Washington helped break the NFL color barrier with the L.A. Rams in 1946. A year later, his UCLA football teammate Jackie Robinson did the same with Brooklyn in MLB.
