Over the years the description of what the family is has changed, and yet some of have been the same but we just didn’t give it a name. So there was always the nuclear family, the step family and what we now call the blended family we just didn’t name that particular one.
To clarify, a Step-family have parent or parents who come into a marriage with kids from previous relations but none together.
In a blended family, each parent come to a marriage with their own children (who become step kids) and they then have a child or children together, creating half sibling or siblings for the step children, and they all live together under one roof.
Today, I’m speaking to a couple in a blended family. I truly will like to know how this works or how they may make it work.
My guests today are Johnny and Patronella Diedricks.
