In episode 15 we dive into what we actually believe about the character of God and His goodness, even in walking through tragedy and loss. We discuss how we believe suffering is a large part of our Christian faith. Following Christ is not a free pass to pain, But we are promised His redemption and restoration in all things because He is the God of restoration.

This is an episode we’ve wanted to share for a long time, and our prayer is that it encourages your heart. 

When we sat down to record Part 1, there was more on our hearts than we could fit into one conversation. This episode is Part 2—the continuation of the story we couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s raw, honest, and vulnerable. We talk about what it really looks like to keep showing up for each other, even when it’s hard, and the ways God has met us in the mess and the beauty of blending our family. This is the conversation we almost lost… but one we’re grateful to finally share with you.

When we first blended our families, we searched for voices who understood-the ones who would tell the truth about the messy parts and the beautiful surprises. We couldn't find them in podcast world. So in this episode of Blended with Christian and Laura, we're becoming that voice. We share the raw realities of our early years, the hardest challenges we faced, and the unexpected blessings that came as we became one family. This is the conversation we desperately needed back then... and now we are having it for you!

In this episode of Together on Purpose, we sit down with our good friends Matt and Nikki Thomas—married nearly 20 years and parents to four daughters—for an honest conversation about what it really means to live as a unified family team. We talk through the highs and lows of connection, the challenges of disconnection, and the intentional choices it takes to build unity at home. Their vulnerability, wisdom, and deep faith shine through as we explore how to fight with each other—not against each other—and create a culture of togetherness on purpose. Why do we care so much about fighting for connection? Why does it matter so deeply to us? Because staying connected takes effort—it’s a fight, and it requires intentional work. We’re not experts by any means; we’ve stumbled plenty along the way. But through every failure, we’ve held on to the desire for a strong, healthy connection.
