We are still in the beginning stages of our series, and today we’ll begin a look at the beatitude, “blessed are the merciful”, in Matthew five, verse seven. We’ll see the meaning of mercy, and how it is shown. With everything that has happened in our country lately, this seems like a good time to remind ourselves about the qualities of mercy, and why Jesus spoke of it in the sermon on the mount.
