The disciples returned with joy to Jesus and told Him how demons and powers were subject to them in His name. Jesus received the news with joy but reminded them that it is more important to stay focused on the purpose and also rejoice that their names are recorded amongst those who enforce the kingdom of God on earth. Let us continually make use of our God given authority. Results can be distracting if we focus mainly on our accomplishments. God bless you.

Believers are encouraged to hold onto the word of truth, profess it continually with Jesus at the centre. If you are rejected or attacked for standing for truth, do not take it personally. It is Jesus, the one who sent you that is being attacked. That will help you manage your emotions and you can love the attackers while praying for them.

The pain and shame on the cross was an indication that you and I are good enough, worth dying for. As we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus, let us rise up from the place of complacency and step into new horizons by the power of the Spirit.

In Luke 6: 46 Jesus said it's not enough to call Him Lord and don't do the things He says to us. We are encouraged today to respond to the word of instruction God gives us, whether convenient or not. How we respond to the word determines our foundation and the building overall. We are not designed to face life's troubles by ourselves. Success is by the Word.

Jesus went into the wilderness by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was tempted and overcame all the schemes of the devil by the HolySpirit . He returned by the power of the Spirt into Galilee. The bottomline here is that, without the power of the Spirit, nothing will shift. We want to focus more on the power of the Spirit.We can generate this by spending more time alone with God in prayer Fasting and prayer, speaking in tongues for a long time. Jesus was tempted just as we are and it taught me something important. He overcame by challenging the words from the devil. He didn't accept the suggestion. Our needs and wants never end. Satisfaction only comes from and is by the Word of God. The devil always wants to challenge our identity in christ and makes us chase after other things Here we are reminded to crave for the Word of God for it satisfies. Bread always runs out.
