As Isaac threatens to hit Haiti this Friday as a Category 1 hurricane, OBI teams are staging preparations in both Haiti and the U.S. to brace for the storm’s impact.
Our greatest concern right now is the storm's current projected path, taking it right across Haiti. If the storm—which is capable of producing heavy rainfall and life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides—strengthens to a Category 1 hurricane as forecasted, it could shred the meager shelters of hundreds of thousands of Haitians who are still camped in tent cities, as well as flood the low-lying areas where the tent cities are located. Watch Bill's report.
