The year 1917 was a year of great significance in human history and for
the eventual re-establishment of the state of Israel. On November 2,
1917, a document was issued by the British government that was
celebrated by Jews around the world because it gave them hope that one
day they might return to their Promised Land. It was called the Balfour
Declaration.
Recently, Pastor Rich Jones taught about “The History of the Modern
Palestinian Problem” at Calvary Chapel Worship Center
(https://www.calvaryhillsboro.org/) in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he
serves as the Senior Pastor.
During this portion of his teaching, Pastor Rich explains the
significance of the Balfour Declaration and the role it played in paving
the way for the Jews to have a national home of their own once again.
