This year voting, especially within the youth of the Black community, has be highly important now more than ever. Welcome back to a new and VERY SPECIAL episode of BLKOUT Podcast! To celebrate making it into the 10th episode, the BLKOUT Crew invited a very special guest, Miss Michela Walker, to engage in a very fun and engaging  interview style conversation. Miss Walker is a queen. Literally. She has competed and won in many pageants across the country such as Miss Umoja Fest Queen of African Town Seattle 2018, Miss Seafair Princess 2018, Huston-Tillotson University’s Miss Freshman and Miss Sophomore, Miss America Classic Beauty International, and has recently been crowned as Miss Texas Beauty Plus. Not only is she a literal queen, Miss Walker is also a professional vocalist and has competed on BET’s Sunday’s Best, The Voice, and American Idol. She is also a representative for the Black Community of Seattle and is a part of a Black-owned faith based theatre company known as Acts on Stage. In this episode she also reveals that she has a super power and showcases her talent as a vocalist in a game of Song Association.

This week in events, the BLKOUT Crew takes a look at the controversy surrounding employment at the Ellen Degeneres Show, employees being fired for wearing BLM statement masks/gear at Whataburger and other fast food restaurants, and Oprah's "grand gesture" of buying billboard signs in order to bring awareness to the Breonna Taylor case.  Moving further along into the episode, the BLKOUT goes into discussion about Beyonce's new Black is King visual album and the effects Black representation in the media has on the image of Black/African people.

BLKOUT Podcast is back with a new episode! This week the BLKOUT Crew takes a dive into players opting out of the 2020-2021 sports seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the two Austin shootings that resulted in the deaths of Mike Ramos and Garrett Foster. One at the hands of the Austin Police Department and the other during an Austin Black Lives Matter protest. For this week's topic of discussion, the BLKOUT Crew talks about the consistency behind the support of the Black Lives Matter Movement specifically from non-Black people as well as giving suggestions on ways they can support.
