📛 Bitcoin Mining Industry 📛 Core Scientific one of the largest crypto mining companies in the U.S. is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Texas early Wednesday morning. CoinDesk published an article that states In the past 24 hrs,66% of blocks that made it onto the Ethereum blockchain were OFAC-compliant, meaning they excluded transactions involving parties sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control. This is definitely not ideal for Open Blockchain Protocol. The article also states Ethereum’s “censorship” problem has grown over the past few months, with some validators in charge of maintaining the blockchain’s ledger ignoring certain transactions to comply with regulations. But crypto’s anti-censorship purists may have reason to be hopeful.

Despite FUD surrounding Binance.US has plans to Acquire Voyager digital’s assets for $1Bnin Bankruptcy Bid As per the official blog here https://lnkd.in/dD9a2R6y It states has entered an agreement with Voyager Digital Ltd., in order to acquire its assets. Binance.US will make a good faith deposit of $10 million and will reimburse Voyager for certain expenses up to $15 million. Voyager will also seek the approval of the bankruptcy court at a hearing on Jan. 5, 2023.

🔺 VGX, the native token of Voyager Digital, skyrocketed over 32% after Binance won the bid. VGX was trading at $0.3843 at the time of writing. While Binance’s BNB token also rose over 1% on the news trading at $250

🛑Federal Reserve Board raises interest rates by 50 basis points, the highest level in 15 years. The goal is to curb inflation to 2%. Following the announcement, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 109 points, or 0.3% after being 287 points higher earlier today; the S&P 500 dipped 0.5%.
