Impressively Original
I purchased this book at the recommendation of a family member. I'm glad I did. Its refreshing to find something new, without the same old recycled plot you've read 20 times before, where only the names have changed. There is a nice mix of suspense, drama comedy, with some romance to keep it interesting. I look forward to more by this author.

Looks like a good first book. Seems like it was unedited, but it's a good intro to Baxter House in introducing many characters.

A mystery filled with con artists, love affairs, and embezzlements, Blockerâs Bluff builds up momentum to its very last page. In the small town off South Carolinaâs coast, the mystery begins when Police Chief Molly Dickson starts to suspect the mayorâs behavior and repeatedly spots an unknown boat off shore. She asks the former Police Chief John Porter, also her long-time friend, for advice about her suspicions. As soon as she steps onto Johnâs dock, the story is enlivened with the comedic banter between Molly and John. While both their relationship and their jesting grow, they, along with Johnâs dog, Old George, try to unravel a seemingly endless tangled web of events in their small town, Blockerâs Bluff.
"Who dunnit?" fun along the Carolina coast
Excellent bobbing and weaving of characters and intertwining of plots. You never know where the story is going to go next, which keeps the pages turning. A great "slice of life" in the coastal Carolinas as well as a fun "who dunnit" romp.
Was i glad because it kept me captivated
A friend gave me this book as a gift. Was i glad because it kept me captivated. The lightheartedness and humor were great. I don't like heavy books and ytis one was easy to read and kept my interest. I recommend it for a read or a great gift.
