Listen to God for He speaks against your self-righteousness and your hypocrisy and instead you are to come with faithful dependence on Him for salvation.

Mark -- Christ is the Shepherd who provides rest in the desert places, so you know satisfaction.

Malachi -- You must live as a redeemed covenant representative for God's glory.

Malachi -- Respond to God with Christ's joyful, whole-hearted devotion.

Mark -- As a disciple of Christ you will be rejected and face persecution and even death, but you can do so because Christ also knew rejection, persecution, and death.

Mark -- Christ sends you out to preach his message and you are so dependent on Him even when rejected.
