The Letters of John -- You are to discern truth from error so you don't listen to false teachers and this you can do because the Spirit of God is in you.

Philippians -- Learn to be content in Christ so you can partner effectively with other believers for the glory of God.

The Letters of John -- You can have confidence that you abide in Christ not because of what your heart says but because of the evidence of faith in your life and because God abides in you.

Philippians -- You are united together in the gospel, do not be distracted by differences but rejoice in the peace you have in Christ.

The Letters of John -- Children of God are known by their loving deeds. Are you willing even to sacrifice your life, as Christ did for you, for a fellow believer-

Philippians -- You are not perfect yet, but you are to forget the past and press on the call of Jesus- imitate Him and you will be transformed into the glory of Jesus.

Philippians -- You are saved by Christ's righteousness, not your own- so your hope is found in Him alone.

The Letters of John -- Christ came to take away your sin and the power of sin in your life- therefore, do not be indifferent regarding sin, but instead live righteously as God's children.

Philippians -- You are to humbly serve in Christ by having a heart for others- to see them rejoice in Christ.
