Welcome to our final episode of 2021, and the last episode (at least for now) in our DePalma December series! On this episode we are joined by Back Lot 605 contributing writer, and the co-host of the SlashLot and Criterion Break Podcast Blake Ginithan! Blake joins us to discuss the 1981 Brian DePalma directed Blow Out, starring John Travolta and Nancy Allen!

Blow Out stars John Travolta as Jack, a sound recording artist for a shlock B-movie studio. On a recording session, Jack records a blow out and a car crash, leading to the death of Governor McRyan. In the crash, Jack saves escort Sally (Nancy Allen), and the two begin to uncover a conspiracy leading to the death of the Governor. Burke (John Lithgow) is hired to eliminate all threats to the conspiracy, including Sally.
