Mae Jemison was the first woman of color in space. She now is Principal for the 100 Year Starship Foundation, an organization dedicated to "pushing the radical leaps in knowledge and technology needed to achieve interstellar flight". You may be surprised by the parallels between her quest, and the quest for a more sustainable planet.
