There is no commitment without sacrifice and no adventure without commitment. When we ask and receive a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit we are telling God that we are all in and ready for an adventure. If your Christian walk is boring then it's time for you to step into the fourth principle of discipleship: receiving a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The third principle of discipleship is to take your time with Jesus. Make sure that when you are praying and reading the Bible you spend unrushed time in His presence. When we take the time to be still, to listen, to really focus we will discover a whole new level of peace and joy.

Principle 2 of Discipleship is to honor Jesus as Lord. That means we surrender all that we have, all that we are, and our attitudes to the loving influence of Jesus. This is hard, but the results are life-changing.

The first principle of discipleship is to come to Jesus just as we are. All too often Christians feel that we need to get our act together before we come to Jesus, but Matthew 11:28-30 says the opposite. The only way we can ever be clean is to come to Jesus just as we are.

Evil thrives when good men do nothing. There are villains in the world, but they will always be the minority. The real problem is when good men fail to act in the face of darkness. How do you figure out God's will when you have to make a big decision? Here are the 5 principles that have worked for me and many others. 1. Pray in the name of Jesus to prevent satan from confusing or distracting me from discovering God's will. Matt. 28:18 2. Surrender the issue and my life fully to the authority of Jesus. Repent of any sins and seek to give God the highest glory. Ps. 139:23-24 3. Pray for wisdom and believe. James 1:5-8 4. Wait in God's presence for Him to reveal His wisdom. Jer. 33:3, Ps. 32:8, Ps. 25:4-5, Ps. 46:10 5. Test my conclusion with the Bible. Is. 8:20
