Francis is a great architect, but struggles with his daily interactions with the people around him. From standing up to his cruel boss to talking to the beautiful neighbor he has a crush on, Francis is paralyzed by the thought of making the wrong move. When he discovers a city building video game called Blueprints that allows the user to create their own world, he mods the game to allow him to practice all the social encounters he fears. But as Francis gains confidence in his fictional world, the boundaries between game and real life start to blur as he pushes the game - and the characters inside it - to a breaking point.
