Completamente distinto al sonido blues rock británico, del que ya dimos cuenta en otro especial, los americanos consiguen acercarse de forma más ortodoxa al sonido negro, sin tanto conflicto con la psicodelia, como ocurrió en Inglaterra. De alguna forma, ligado al concepto del hippismo y de la Costa Oeste de los Estados Unidos.
