In 2004, when I started Blues Therapy Radio with Doc Armand I never thought I'd make it past a dozen shows.  After all we were just a Summer replacement show.  After only 2 shows the station manager told us he wanted us to stick around.  Still, I thought we'd do maybe one or two years.   It's now been 800 shows and BTR is in syndication and playing on multiple stations worldwide.  The Doc and I were inducted into the "official" Blues Hall of Fame (no not that one lol) and we were nominated for over a dozen Blues awards.  Although the Doc retired several years ago I made a determination that I was going to get to 1000 shows.  So the countdown to 200 begins with this, the 800th show.  For this show I chose 27 songs that mean a lot to me.  They aren't all strictly Blues-in fact a couple aren't really Blues at all.  But all the songs make you feel something or give us joy when we listen to them and that's really what Blues THERAPY is all about.  So I hope you enjoy this segment-believe me I could do 100 shows just like this.   Don't tempt me! :{)
