We have a proclivity to control our situations, but we were never intended to carry everything. Jesus calls to those who are weary to learn from Him - He constantly went away to spend time with the Father.

In spending time with God, we hear from Him. We become more like Him. We see things differently. We are equipped to handle our situations because we know we can't handle them alone; we need God.

If you are in Christ, you have an inheritance. Sometimes, we forget what Jesus did for us and the benefits of what He did for us, and we find ourselves in mindsets and situations that were never for us. Jesus is calling us back to just sitting with him in His presence. He wants to refresh and restore us and to remind us that He is all we truly need.
