Chad Elkins is the head honco at 25th Century Games. He handles the all around business matters from being the lead developer, marketing, art direction, and anything else you can think of. They have had several successful Kickstarter campaigns including Robots Love Ice Cream, Christmas Lights, and most recently Space Explorers. He also has many plans in the future, like Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Chad is a unique case where he just jumped right into his role in the industry. He didn't mess around volunteering and all that jazz. Mike Young is the communications lead at Plan B Games. It gets interesting with Plan B Games, though, because Plan B Games includes not only Plan B but also Eggertspiele, Pretzel Games, and Next Move Games. He plays the role of editor, marketing, human resources, volunteer trainer, and so much more. He gave tons of great tips and lots of his experiences on how he's gotten to where he is today.

Episode 10

Mike DiLisio is the brain, brawn, beauty, and brain behind Solomode games on YouTube. He also is involved with a couple podcasts; regularly appearing on This Game is Broken and co-hosting his own called Sporadically Board. Mike has made quite the splash with this industry, being the main standout (at least in my eye) of solo gaming. He gives his experience and advice for people who want to get into video and podcasting creation in this chat we had.

Sara Erickson is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Renegade Game Studios. She also co-owns Rook's Games and More in Bozeman, Montana. She has had a decorated career path from volunteering to where she is today. She has been extremely genrous to me and has taught me some really priceless stuff.

Episode 8

Derek and Lizzy Funkhouser are the dream team behind the Board Game Spotlight. Together, they handle Kickstarter previews, social media, live plays, game design, game consultation, and so much more. We go over how they handle all of that stuff while staying organized, *spoiler alert*- it's because of Lizzy. These two are great people, and I'm glad to have followed their progression through it.

Will Meadows is the CEO of Tantrum House. Now, the tricky part is describing everything Tantrum House involves. YouTube content involving KickStarter previews and many other reviews, Etsy page with decor and apparel, marketing, graphic design, web content including a serious and satirical site, podcasting, live videos, playthroughs, and I'm probably still missing the most of it. Will seems to be the brains behind the all encompasing team there. I really enjoyed this conversation and a look into what all he does.

Rob Searing is the web manager for The Dice Tower and he also leads The Dice Tower News. What we focused on primarily on this episode was his work as the owner of Insert Here. He has designed and created foam core inserts for over 270 different board games. He's achieved acomplishments like selling over 8,000 inserts, some to celebrities from The Big Bang Theory, Lost, Mad Men, and many more. He does all of this while working a full time day job and parenting 9 kids! He is also just an all around great person! I'm certain this interview will have some great stuff for you to take away from it!

Andrew Birkett is the Chief Storyteller of Atheris Games. He designs, publishes, kickstarts, markets, develops, and anything else you can think of for his company. He has some of the most unique themes on any of his games, and the way he comes up with them is beyond me! Such a good person and he was a real pleasure to have the chance to speak to!

Erin Dean is the Social Media Manager for Lucky Duck Games. She is also an author, For the Love of Board Games, and a podcast host, For the Love of Board Games. She has some great information about how to really stack your deck to stand out when applying for a position. Or, you can just create a position you want, she gives some tips on how to do that as well. A lot of great tips and tricks in this episode! Thanks again, Erin!

Kevin Burkhardsmeier (Burky) wears so many hats in the industry! He is involved with Board Game Theater, Burky and Badger Board Game Babble, volunteered for I don't even know how long for various different companies, has had his own likeness used as a cover image on board game box art, and I could go on all day! But on this episode, we focus primarily on the work he has been doing on Game Toppers, LLC. He has done such an amazing job with that, and I wanted to dig into his experiences and see what I could learn from him. So, if you have any desire to start creating game tables, or anything really, this episode is one to listen to for you.
