How saving faith changes you: I. THE DEGENERATE STATE APART FROM CHRIST II. THE REGENERATE SATE IN CHRIST III. SOME EVIDENTIAL FRUIT

This exposition of the Westminster Confession of Faith explores the doctrines of God's eternal decree, predestination, and the immutability of God's decree. It argues that the number of the elect is fixed by God's sovereign will, independent of human effort, faith, or works, thereby ensuring that all glory belongs to God alone. The teaching emphasizes that salvation is a monergistic work of grace, where the elect are redeemed, effectually called, justified, and sanctified solely by the power of the Holy Spirit. By referencing passages such as John 17 and Ephesians 1, this episode defends the Reformed perspective that God's purpose stands unchangeable, closing the door to human boasting and affirming the security of those chosen in Christ.

This sermon examines the Apostle Paul's self-assessment of his ministry in Romans 15, highlighting his conviction that the Roman believers are full of goodness and knowledge. The exposition emphasizes that Paul viewed his role as a sacred, priestly service to the Gentiles, grounded entirely in the grace of God rather than personal merit. It clarifies the theological distinction between positional sanctification, which occurs at the moment of faith, and the ongoing process of spiritual growth, affirming that believers are acceptable to God immediately upon trusting in Christ. The message encourages the audience to view their own spiritual gifts and responsibilities as set apart for God's glory, urging them to boast only in what Christ has accomplished through them. Finally, it highlights Paul's pioneering approach to evangelism, where he sought to plant new foundations rather than build on existing ones, demonstrating a life fully dedicated to the spread of the gospel.
