On today's program, courtesy of filmmaker Dr. Carl Werner, hear the Rodhocetus discoverer Phil Gingerich admit that the fossil never showed evidence of whale flippers nor of a fluked tail. And now that they have recovered its front legs, Gingerich admits that Rodhocetus did not have flippers, and that therefore, the whale's tale that he imagined was not valid. In a discussion with Enyart after the debate, which you can see in the brief YouTube video below), Barlock said that if he could confirm this information, he would stop using this claim. Ten thousand Christians have echoed the "nicer than God" warning during the quarter-century of BEL broadcasting. Digging in to her accusation even after all her other "witnesses" have denied being at a party with her and Brett Kavanaugh, and even after none of the five lived near the country club she remembered nearby, and after her first mention of such an event has now been documented to have occurred when Kavanaugh was floated as Mitt Romney's likely first choice for the Supreme Court, all provides sufficient justification for dismissing Christine Ford as a false witness. However, Ford is not able to destroy Kavanuagh's career, something he did to himself once he became a legal positivist, like his model Scalia admitted, the kind of judge who would be convicted at Nuremberg. Today though most people, and that includes Republicans, draw political conclusions rather than those based on morality and truth. Bob discusses the biblical standard for establishing the truth of a matter and mentioned that it is too soon, with Insufficient information, to draw a conclusion about the credibility of the woman called Kavanaugh's "second accuser", who now should be referred to as his "first accuser", since Ford has been discredited. Bob Enyart compares the Denver Bible Church approach to the use of money in a "building fund" to that of the San Jose Catholic Diocese, although admittedly, they Catholics have $100 for every $1 that DBC has. Yet while the Roman Catholic Church is spending $2.3 million on the retirement home for Bishop Patrick McGrath, which he'll move into after he finishes mopping up the priest child molestation crimes in his diocese, DBC took a different approach to such funds that were donated for a very specific purpose. Bob pointed out that countless Christians who defend the Settled View, even authors and scholars, have a hard time distinguishing between the future and the present, and they quote passages like Ezek. 11:5 which refer to the present, while claiming that such verses prove exhaustive foreknowledge of every detail of eternity future. If there actually were many Bible verses that defended the Settled View, then Christian scholars, like Dr. Samuel Lamerson in his debate with Bob, would not repeatedly quote present-knowledge verses as proof for exhaustive foreknowledge.  * Robert from Denver CO: asked a great question, about whether or not the Open View teaches that the book of Revelation will unfold exactly as foretold. Because His Father is merciful, Jesus Himself said of the Great Tribulation, that "those days will be shortened" (Mat. 24:22). And the Apostle Peter said that we can "hasten" the Coming of the Lord (2 Peter 3:12). God's love and mercy take precedence over His commitment to a schedule, just as with Nineveh, He repented "from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it" (Jonah 3:10). Those who defend the Settled View regarding prophecies of doom seem not to have learned the vital message of Jonah. The prophet was angry that God did not follow through precisely with His prophetic plan to destroy the people of Nineveh. God's mercy "displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry," and God said, "Is it right for you to be angry?" and "should I not pity Nineveh, that great city...?" (Jonah 4:1, 4, 11). God did not make man for the prophecy, but the prophecy for man! Likewise, John's Apocalypse reveals God's schedule, which the Father and the Son both eagerly want to deviate from, if given the opportunity even at the last moment to show mercy!
