Bob Enyart Live

* From kgov.com/doubts: On Doubt: What Does a Christian Doubt? In an online discussion over at Prometheus Unbound, Santi, an agnostic, asked Bob Enyart about his doubts. You can read that discussion over at santitafarella.wordpress.com. This List of Doubts is based on Bob's answer: I doubt that the rising mountain of evidence utterly refuting Darwinism will bring a majority of evolutionists to acknowledge our Creator God. I doubt that the failed predictions of the Big Bang Theory will lead atheists to… But wait. I’m sure those are not the kinds of doubts you’re asking me about Santi. You’re asking me to indicate, of the beliefs that I hold, which ones do I sometimes doubt. To help myself think this through, I’ll first list the things I never ever doubt. - I never doubt that I exist. - I never doubt that truth exists, because for example, it is true that I exist. - I never doubt that reason exists, because I can reason to the truth of the previous sentence. - I never doubt that there is a reality, because truth and reason exist. - I never doubt that the universe exists, because I exist as part of it, and I can reason to the truth of its existence. - I never doubt that the universe must have had a beginning, because stars still burn available energy. - Since truth and reason exist, I never doubt that logic exists. - Since I exist and logic exists, I never doubt that existence itself must be rational. - Since logic and reason exist, I never doubt that whatever has a beginning must have a cause. - Since logic and reason exist, I never doubt that the effect cannot be greater than the cause. - I never doubt that whatever caused the universe must be powerful and even greater than the universe itself. - And since logic exists, I realize that nothing that has a beginning can have existed forever. - And since the Cause of the universe must exist, I realize that it has no beginning, and has existed forever.  - And since this uncaused Cause created the universe, i.e., its ingredients, I don't doubt that it also created me. - And since I'm a person and the effect can't be greater than the cause I don't doubt that the Creator is personal. - And because we persons are creative like He is, I never doubt that we are made to some extent in His likeness. - And because the Creator is a person, I never doubt that He must be alive. - So I never doubt that the attributes of our eternal Creator are that He is living and personal. - And I never doubt that human beings refer to the living and personal eternal Creator as "God". - And I never doubt that to be a person, one must have a will, so that it is by God's will that I exist. - And because we creatures have the ability to know our Creator, I never doubt that He is relational. - And because He made us with the ability to love, I never doubt that the Creator Himself can love. - And because God can love, and He made us to know good and evil, I therefore never doubt that He is good. - So I never doubt our all-powerful, eternal Creator God who is living, personal, relational, good, and loving. - And I never doubt that all these things could be intuitively understood by everyone who's ever lived. - And because God is good and loving and made us, I never doubt that He cares about us and wants to save us. - And I never doubt that if Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead as prophesied, that Christianity is false. - Nor have I ever doubted that if Jesus did rise from the dead, then all other religions are false and as He claimed, He is the only way to eternal life. Santi, these are some of the things I never doubt. Now, what do I sometimes doubt? There are many particulars regarding the universe, the world, mankind, doctrines of Scripture, points of history, economics, science, etc., that I’m eager to learn more of and to be corrected where in error. The more significant errors I’ve made over the years are listed on our Errata page which we link to from our KGOV.com home page and from the footer section of every one of the 10,000 pages on our site. (This article is one of those pages, at kgov.com/on-doubt, so you can see the Errata link just below.) And when I make a lesser error in a radio program, etc., we correct that error on that show’s summary page. Was this a sufficient answer, or would you like some particular detail? Thanks Santi! -Bob Enyart Pastor, Denver Bible Church Conservative talk radio host, KGOV.com Co-host, Real Science Radio Teacher, Theology Thursday  For more information: - See kgov.com/the-gospel. - You can read more between Santi and Bob at Prometheus Unbound. - You can hear Pastor Bob's sermon on this dialogue by subscribing to receive his messages (ask for a gift of the Oct. 23, 2016 sermon titled, The Pastor's Doubts). - You can view our list that tallies up the hundreds of thousands of Ph.D.s, M.D.s, scientists, and scholars doubting Darwin over at rsr.org/doubt. Finally, you're invited to check out our KGOV Store (or call us at 1-800-8Enyart) for some really fun and educational BEL materials, books, MP3s, DVDs, Blu-rays, HD downloads, etc., designed to improve our understanding of the world, of God, and of ourselves, and to enable us to live more effectively, to better communicate with others, and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ! In Passing: For those who have been told that everything occurs by God's eternal decree, thus making Him the author of every thought and word, consider the following toy made in China, along with 1 Cor. 14:33 which states that, "God is not the author of confusion..."

*Plasma vs Dark Matter: While old earth secular scientists continue to search for “dark matter” to rescue their failing Big Bang cosmology, friend of RSR Joe Spears joins Fred and his co-host Doug McBurney to look further into the Setterfield Plasma Cosmology. *Godspeed: Fred and Joe discuss why light may have traveled faster in the past, and why it may very well be slowing down. Also see Fred & Doug's previous show back in March 2022 on how the fix is in for speed of light measurements. *Quantized Red Shift Explained: Hear how the observed data regarding the red shift reveals the likelihood of an electromagnetic creation week more so than a gravitational 13.549567 Bn Years. Plasma cosmology also removes the need to explain red shifts via an expanding universe, which is a better fit for scripture given that God said He "stretched the heavens", past tense! *Permittivity and Permeability: Einstein described the speed of light in a vacuum as a constant. But Fred Williams has observed the slowing of the speed of light personally! We know that light travels more slowly through a medium. Hear how the “fabric” of the universe may impact the speed of light. *The Big Stretch: Thus says God the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; - Is 42: 5-6. Hear what this stretching may have involved, preserving the conservation of energy, while allowing distant starlight visible from the earth in less than 10,000 years.

Today on The Dominic Enyart Show, after a quick recap of the worldview we’ve built so far, we’re going to be looking at more cross-references in the Bible. We’ll see that there are hundreds of thousands, which could not have been intentionally included by merely human efforts. The only reasonable explanation for how these cross references got here is that the Bible was written by men who were inspired by God. And with God as the author, it all comes together in spectacular fashion. On today’s show, we’ll be seeing how God caused a parallel story between Abraham sacrificing Isaac, and the Father sacrificing the Son. In both cases: - The sacrifice was made on Mount Moriah. - The sacrifice brought his own method of destruction up the mountain. - A father gave his only son. -God gave a lamb as a sacrifice instead. -The lamb has its head caught in thorns. Make sure to click the here to subscribe to the Dominic Enyart YouTube channel! Today's Resource: Mount Moriah | Evidence for the Resurrection Do you know anyone who does not believe in Christ’s resurrection? What a fantastic witnessing tool we have in this Mount Moriah video! Bob brings secular resources to bear on the question of the resurrection of Jesus. Non-Christians can write a letter requesting a free copy of this video (non-Christians only: mail your request to Bob Enyart, PO Box 583, Arvada CO 80001). If you are already a Christian, you’ll be thrilled when you learn about all the evidence that exists which supports the resurrection, from prophecies to history, to archaeology, to details of the city, the geography, the skull, the garden, and the tomb. This entertaining video will show you: evidence of Christ's resurrection that has remained for 2,000 years the link between the crucifixion and Isaac's Moriah experience The link between the ram caught in the thorns and Christ's crown what ancient Hebrew prophecies predicted about Christ's death what God said about this one particular hill in Jerusalem the New Testament clues which still point to Christ's actual tomb the geographic reasons why God chose Jerusalem that 1,500 years after He carved the law in stone, God carved grace in stone how to answer those who ask... There's a mountain of evidence for Christ's resurrection!

Today on The Dominic Enyart Show we’re getting into the nitty-gritty with the old testament and beginning to lay out the overarching plot of the Bible. We see the entire old testament points to a coming Savior and ends on a cliffhanger. Tomorrow we will continue to look at how the Bible ties itself together. Also, we want to thank the brightest audience in the country for helping us to MEET OUR TELETHON GOAL! We reached our $30,000 goal and could not be more thankful for your outpouring of love and support. This will allow us to keep broadcasting for another year! We’ll be keeping the telethon banner up (on kgov.com) for the rest of the day for anyone who wants to get in on the telethon deals before we close. We cannot stress our thankfulness to our audience enough. God bless you all!

Bob also show that Jesus went to Jerusalem for a non-biblical religious feast, and that the Scriptures co-opt pagan philosophical concepts. Also, the Bible teaches that God allows Christians even to eat meat sacrificed to idols, and those who are discerning and even more spiritually mature than others can even go to, and eat in, an idol’s temple, including obviously, eating the food that had just been offered to a false god in that very temple. And finally, we see that extra-biblical regulations may have a superficial appearance of wisdom, but that they are counterproductive, and the sin of the flesh that they cater to does more harm and is more spiritually destructive than the alleged dangers that they are designed to prevent. Today's Offer: ANY Subscription $5 for 3 Months! For telethon month, we are offering a once-in-a-lifetime deal! Sign up for ANY KGOV subscription for just $5 which covers three entire months! After three months, the price will revert back to the original price. This is a great way to get your feet wet in KGOV's content behind the paywall AND help us reach our telethon goal. But how about Halloween? In Ephesians 5:11, the Apostle Paul instructs believers to, "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness..." So, doesn't that tell us Christians that we should not allow our children to go trick-or-treating? No. That passage, as the context and various Bible commenatries attest, specifically refers to sexual immorality. Note the context starting with Ephesians 5:3 through verse 12: 3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness... These two latter words have spheres of meaning that include sexual immorality; in this continuing context, Paul uses these words to make the warning against fornication emphatic; to covet is to lust; to be unclean in this context has nothing to do with the ceremonial cleansing rituals of Israel's Mosaic Law, but here it means to be sexually immoral ...let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting [each of these refer to sexually immoral behavior and talk], which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man [again, in context, both of these refer to sexual immorality], who is an idolater has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Paul contrasts what is fitting for saints with the filthiness of unbelievers (i.e., idolaters). And then continues... 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. Not always, but typically, sexually immoral behavior is committed behind closed doors, in secret. What is shameful is not a girl dressed like a princess or a boy dressed up as a #2 pencil, and walking around on Halloween getting candy from neighbors. What is shameful, in this context, and done in secret, is what is referfed to here as "works of darkness", is fornication and all forms of sexual immorality. When a national Christian ministry claimed that you "make light of evil" if you go trick-or-treating, and wrote that Christians should "skip Halloween and remember Reformation Day. And that... 502 years ago, sometime near October 31, a baby named John Calvin was conceived..." Huh? Conceived? It is so easy to replace God's concerns with man's concerns. The Bible warns us of true evil. Yet if we take verses about hats, and oxen, and water (for example) and we wrongly assume that they are primarily about oxen, and hats, and water, then we will overlook God's real warnings. The opportunity cost of legalism is that, to the extent that we have reduced our Christianity to a set of rules, to that extent we have diminished our relationship with God. And legalism cannot sustain us in our Christian walk.     Although Halloween has long been overtly mixed up with occult-like practices, this day also has a long Christian history. Even that history, however, is sadly mixed up with false doctrine regarding recently departed souls. Halloween, that is, the hallowed eve, was the night before All Saints Day, which was introduced into the Christian calendar in the year 609 A.D. and moved to November 1st in 835 A.D. Shortly after 1000 A.D., the following day, Nov. 2nd, became the official date for All Souls Day, which had already been celebrated for more than a century. Regarding the date of October 31st, from its earliest days, the church has had vigils on the night before its major feasts (like Christmas and Resurrection Day/Easter). Thus Hallowed-Eve began, with these days designated for praying for those who had died recently (which practice follows from false doctrine and confusion regarding what happens to a person after death). As with funerals, criers dressed in black would walk through town. Starting more than 500 years ago, Christians in many European countries would bake and share “soul cakes” to encourage prayer for the departed. This may be the origin of trick-or-treating, when the poor and children would go door-to-door collecting soul cakes, a practice referenced in the popular culture of 1593 in Act 2, Scene 1 of The Two Gentlemen of Verona by Shakespeare. The wearing of costumes may trace to the then current superstition of trying to escape notice of departed souls, and scholarly research has suggested that the jack-o’-lantern may have represented the souls of the dearly departed. Dressing children in innocent costumes and letting them walk around collecting candy from neighbors is not the equivalent of participating in the works of darkness, worshiping Satan, or any other such horror. Sometimes, the cure is worse than the disease. God gives tremendous latitude, within moral and spiritual boundaries, to parents regarding how they raise their children. So it should go without saying that, although there is risk, of course it is fine for parents to avoid Halloween, the Wizard of Oz, etc. Their children will make their own judgments about whether mom and dad were actually protecting them from evil, or not. Godly parents keep their children away from so many inherent evils in our society that we effectively say "no" a thousand times over. Wisdom therefore seems to suggest a rule of thumb that when God doesn't say "No" we don't need to say "no."

And it was predicted by Hannes Alfvén, who won a Nobel Prize for it, (back when the Nobel Prize still meant something)! *Electromagnetism vs Gravity: Gravity only pulls, and it pulls quite slowly. Electromagnetism perhaps gave the Creator more tools in His creation toolbox In the Beginning. *Big Bang Bust: Find out more about the predictions and the observed scientific evidence by getting the Classic Video from the Late Great Bob Enyart: Evidence Against the Big Bang. *Dark Matter Dismissed: (Before it was ever found). An Electromagnetically driven, plasma universe does not rely on secular fantasies of Dark Matter. The Universe in a Pinch: The formation of stars, and even galaxies may be problematic for old earth, secular cosmology. But the Setterfield Cosmology has a quite reasonable explanation of how stars and galaxies could have formed. *We want You to Join Us: It’s the final Friday of our Telethon! RSR requires $30,000.00 to stay on the air for another year. Modern (so-called) "science" has been used as an ideological club by the left to teach our children, "there is no God." Today we take yet another step forward in our worldview series! If you’re just now joining us midway through this series, we have been building our worldview. And it’s crucial that your worldview is accurate because it will serve as the foundation for your life. So far we’ve discovered that God exists, that He is both personal and powerful, and that He has set the moral standard humanity was meant to follow. We then concluded that if He created us, He might have some purpose for us. To try and find that purpose, we’re seeing if we can find any communication He has had or is currently having with humanity. We are beginning our search by going to the Holy Bible. Why it Matters Real Science Radio (RSR) Co-hosts Fred Williams and Doug McBurney are in the trenches every week. Modern (so-called) "science" has been used as an ideological club by the left to teach our children, "there is no God." Evolution has led millions away from Christ and has taught our culture that we are merely animals. (Of course, when you teach children they are animals, you shouldn't be shocked when they act like animals.) To combat this, the guys discuss real science. RSR (in addition to debating many atheists/evolutionists) has equipped countless believers with answers. These answers are used to defend the hope that is within us (1 Peter 3:15-17). Real Science Radio airs every Friday, 3pm on KGOV.com! Bob Enyart Live (BEL) The ministries of so many Godly leaders, authors & preachers have been magnified tenfold, or even a hundredfold after their passing. Think of C.S. Lewis, and how he still, today has such an impact on millions. We have no doubt Bob Enyart could have a similar impact, and your sponsorship of just one show a month will be a massive force to magnify this ministry and the Gospel. Bob Enyart Live Broadcast Classics still air every Monday, at 3 pm on KGOV.com!  The Dominic Enyart Show (TDES) Following in his father's footsteps, Dominic Enyart has picked up the torch and is waging an all-out war on the side of truth, sanity, justice, and the gospel! By supporting our site (KGOV.com) you will help this young man become a powerful voice for the Lord. The Dominic Enyart Show airs every Tuesday and Wednesday, at 3 pm on KGOV.com! Theology Thursday (TT) On Theology Thursday, we go back to the late-great Pastor Bob Enyart and air his timeless sermons and Bible studies. When studying theology with Bob loves to give an overview of the material before diving head-first into the details. Bob's teaching method (and vast Biblical knowledge) has helped thousands to better understand and (perhaps, more importantly) enjoy reading Scripture.  If any of these ministries have touched your life, and you want to help us reach more folks, please consider sponsoring a show. If a sponsorship is too much, please consider a donation. Thanks so much, Godspeed! ~RSR, BEL, TDES, + TT
