Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our prayer focus is on God the Father’s comfort in trials, providing an opportunity to grow and be strengthened in our faith and relationships.

Let us pray, Jesus. On this eighteenth day of Advent, we come to you seeking healing, revelation, and understanding in the midst of our trials. 

Your Word in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us that you are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our afflictions. 

We acknowledge the struggles we face—whether they be heavy burdens, personal challenges, or the weight of the world around us. In these moments, we invite your presence to nurture and strengthen our weary hearts. 

Lord, as we receive your comfort, let it transform us. 

Help us to be vessels of your grace, ready to extend that same comfort to those who are hurting. 

May our experiences of healing and support foster deep connections with those around us, allowing us to share not only our pain but also our stories of hope and restoration. 

Jesus, we desire to be like you. Please grant us the courage to be vulnerable as we connect with others, recognizing that we are not alone in our struggles. 

May we foster a community rooted in compassion and understanding, reflecting your love in every encounter. 

Thank you for the incredible gift of your comfort. We trust that you are with us in our trials, nurturing us so we can walk alongside others in their journeys. 

May your grace and peace multiply in and through us. Amen.

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our heartbeat prayer today is a request for the Spirit to help us make more space for Jesus in our lives, thoughts, and plans. 

Let us pray, Gracious Lord, on this seventeenth day of Advent, we come before you with a sincere desire to prepare room in our hearts for Christ. 

As recorded in Luke 2:7, there was no room for Jesus in the inn, and we reflect on how easily we can become distracted by the busyness of the season, in our own way saying, "We don’t have room in our lives for you, Jesus."  

Help us, Spirit of God, to intentionally set aside the clutter—both physical and spiritual—so we can create sacred space for your presence. 

Lord, focus our hearts and minds on the true meaning of Christmas. 

Replace the chaos of our schedules with moments of quiet reflection, where we can listen for your voice and feel your love. 

Teach us to prioritize our relationship with you over the demands of our daily lives and the festive distractions that vie for our attention. 

As we make this conscious effort, may we find clarity in our priorities and peace amid the hustle. 

Let our hearts be filled with joy and anticipation as we welcome Christ into our lives. 

May this season center us around the hope, love, and grace that Jesus embodies. Help us, Lord God, Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we pray for the workplace, we rejoice in you, for our joy is in the Lord, and that surpasses every circumstance. 

Thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to forgive our sins—past, present, and future. We declare that we are new creations in Him, covered by His precious blood and rich grace. 

As we work through any dreary, tiresome days, may your joy be our strength. 

We acknowledge that the joy in the Lord is our strength; it transforms our everyday tasks into acts of devotion and worship unto him. 

Lord, we ask that you silence the voices of insecurity and fear that creep in during this season. Refresh us in any weariness. 

Remind us of the truth that we are forever forgiven. Just as David proclaimed, “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven!” 

Let that joy radiate through us, impacting everyone we encounter. We thank you, Jesus, for the eternal gift of life discovered in Christ. May we carry this joy into our work, illuminating the darkness around us. 

In your mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our focus today in prayer is reflecting on the ultimate gift in Jesus, yielding our hearts to a lifestyle of gratefulness and renewed hope. 

Let us pray, Abba Papa God, on this sixteenth day of Advent, we gather in awe and gratitude to contemplate the incredible gift of Christmas—Your Son, Jesus. 

As we reflect on John 3:16, we are reminded that you loved the world so much that you gave your only Son, that we might have eternal life. This gift carries profound significance, illuminating our lives with hope and purpose. 

Lord, help us to fully grasp the depth of your love expressed through this precious gift. 

May we never take for granted the sacrifice Jesus made for us—the hope He brings, the grace He offers, and the redemption He secures. 

As we consider what it means to receive Christ into our hearts, may we be filled with overwhelming gratitude. 

Jesus stir within us a renewed sense of purpose to share your gift of life with others. 

Let us radiate your love and hope to those around us, especially to those who are in bondage, or feel lost or burdened by the weights of this world.

Thank you, Lord, for the remarkable gift of your Son, who transforms lives and brings light to our darkest days. May this understanding deepen our faith and fuel our desire to live for you. Amen.

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our theme in prayer on day fifteen is trusting God’s plan in difficult times, being assured that God’s purposes will be fulfilled, no matter the suffering, the loss, or the disappointment. 

Let us pray, Gracious Father, on this beautiful day, the day you have made, we come to you with hearts filled with gratitude as we reflect on your promise in Romans 8:28—that you work all things together for the good of those who love you. 

In this season of waiting and hope, we cling to this truth, recognizing that even in our difficulties, your sovereign hand is at work. Help us to embrace the challenges we face, knowing that they are not without purpose. 

May we find comfort in the assurance that your plans for our lives are ultimately for our benefit. Teach us to trust in your wisdom, especially when the path ahead feels uncertain or discouraging. 

Lord, fill the gaps in our understanding and our circumstances with your peace, goodness, and grace. 

Help us seek you amid struggles, and may your love illuminate in our hearts. 

As we journey through this season, may we perceive your ways as you weave our stories together in you. 

Thank you for your unwavering love, guidance, and the promise that through it all, you are working for our good. Amen. Amen.

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our focus on day fourteen is holy discontent, persistently pursuing Jesus through prayer for the breakthroughs.

Let us pray, Jesus we come before you with hearts open to the call of holy discontent, the cry for the more of God.  

You gave us a parable in the gospel of Luke that encourages us to pray and never give up, reminding us that you are always attentive to our prayers. 

We embrace the relentless pursuit of you, knowing that our fervent prayers can lead to powerful breakthroughs. 

In moments of discouragement or weariness, help us to continue to seek you. 

Apostle Paul encourages us as believers to be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord because our labor in the Lord is not in vain. 

Thank you for the encouragement to not grow weary of doing what is right because in due time we will reap a harvest of blessings. Help us, Jesus, to stay passionate for you as we keep praying earnestly, even when answers seem distant. 

May our prayers be infused with hope, persistence, and trust in your divine timing. 

Every tear, every plea, and every moment of seeking draws us closer to you. 

Empower us to persevere, confident that you, Lord Jesus, hear our petitions. 

May you keep our hearts awake to the divine promise that you are at work in the unseen. We trust you for more signs, wonders, and miracles in our lives to the glory of God.

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. We are exploring the theme of deepening our friendship with God through the practice of daily conversation, aiming to provide greater moments of connection that will transform our spiritual journey. 

Let us pray, Gracious Lord, we seek to deepen our prayer life, transforming it from a one-sided monologue into a vibrant dialogue with you. 

Your Word in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 encourages us to pray without ceasing, and we acknowledge our desire to cultivate a more interactive relationship with you. 

Help us to approach prayer as a heartfelt conversation, where we share our thoughts and feelings, and also listen for your gentle voice. 

Teach us to be attentive as we speak, to pause and reflect, allowing your wisdom to resonate in our hearts. 

May we find joy in these sacred moments, recognizing that prayer is not merely a duty but a precious opportunity to draw closer to you. 

Lord, fill our conversations with insights and revelations that inspire our faith and guide our steps. As we engage with you in this way, let our relationship flourish, enriched by the wisdom and love that flow from your heart. 

May your spirit of adoption encourage deeper conversations with us about every aspect of our lives, as we recognize your desire to be present with us in both our joyful moments and our struggles.

Let us pray, Abba Father, we come to you with hearts longing to align ourselves with your divine will. 

Your Word in Matthew 6:10 calls us to pray for your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. 

We acknowledge that in surrendering our personal aspirations, we open ourselves to the greater plans you have for our lives. 

Lord, help us to release our need for control and to trust in your perfect timing. 

Teach us to embrace the practice of surrender, seeking your guidance in all that we do. 

May we be sensitive to your voice, allowing it to lead us toward the path you have laid out for us. 

As we yield to your will, grant us the peace that only you can provide—an assurance that we are precisely where we need to be. 

Free us from fear and the burdens of worry and doubt, replacing them with clarity and a sense of purpose. 

May this Advent season deepen our commitment to live in harmony with you, reflecting your love and grace in our actions.

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our focus on day ten is on asking for God-super-sized dreams, with the rewards of heaven found in hope placed in God’s ability to do beyond what we ask, think, or even imagine.

Let us pray, Generous, Gracious, Giving, Papa God, we come before you with hearts open to the vast possibilities that lie within your heart and hands. 

Your Word in Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that you can do immeasurably more than all we can ask, think or imagine. 

Today, we seek to partner more with you as we dream boldly, envisioning dreams that exceed our own limitations or present day circumstances.

Help us to relinquish any doubts or fears that have hold us back, so we may fully trust in your infinite power. 

Ignite in us a spark of anticipation as we imagine the incredible plans you have for our lives. 

Teach us to dream in alignment with your will, entirely relying on your strength and guidance. 

Lord, we ask that you fill our hearts with hope, encouraging us to step boldly into the future you have prepared for us. 

Remind us that with you, all things are possible, and may this awareness give us the courage to pursue our God-given dreams. 

As we journey through this season, let us remain steadfast in our faith, eagerly looking forward to the beautiful surprises that you have in store for us. Amen.
