Paul Renner announced that he is a GOP candidate for Florida Governor in 2026. As a member of the University System Board of Governors, Renner opposed the candidacy of Dr. Santa Ono as President of the University of Florida. Renner’s term as Speaker of The House led to insurance reform, leading to stabilized homeowners insurance rates and declining auto rates.
