The magnitude of Gainesville damage was severe, in a mid-state city that never experiences such high wind intensity. Gainesville Regional Utilities' CEO Ed Bielarski outlined the work that has been done, and hopes that the City will allow more reduction of the tree canopy in vulnerable areas to prevent such extensive damage.
