This week on the Bob Rose Rewind for November 6, 2021:
Marion County’s growth is providing unprecedented local business and employment opportunities. Marion Commissioner Cark Zalak outlines the work and successes in building infrastructure and helping businesses.
GOP gains in Virginia reverberate across the country and here in Florida. But will the election wins derail Democrats’ efforts to pass infrastructure bills? Florida Congresswoman Kat Cammack talks about what’s next in Congress, and efforts to keep these massive spending plans for passing the U.S. House.
The Florida Conference on COVID is Saturday 11-6 at the World Equestrian Center. Physicians and experts from across the country offer alternative views on treatments for COVID, in an educational seminar for the public and medical professionals. The conference will address three areas: people’s natural immunity, childrens’ ability to fight the virus and need for vaccines, and the treatment options beyond vaccinations that have expanded since the pandemic began.
As gas prices continue skyrocketing, Floridians are seeking alternatives. The Florida Department of Transportation recently released an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure plan to meet emerging electric vehicle needs and opportunities. Ebo Entsuah, an advisor to the DOT, worked closely with Florida's DOT to devise this master plan, to provide the capacity to recharge vehicles, add to Florida’s environmental and transportation options, and allow for emergency evacuation during hurricanes and tropical storms.
Ocala Police Chief Mike Balken joins the Bob Rose Show.
Law enforcement recruiting continues to be a top priority for OPD, and out of state targeting has been promising. Florida’s lack of vaccine mandates and supportive climate for law enforcement professionals makes a compelling recruitment case for Ocala. And Gov. DeSantis’ incentives for hiring out of state officers will help.
Drugs, fentanyl, gangs and illegal immigrants are proving deadly and a large problem in Ocala. Drugs laced with fentanyl are found throughout the state and Ocala, and increasingly are deadly in Ocala. Juveniles are committing more repeat crimes in Ocala, as lenient penalties are not impressing the consequences of criminal activities.
Balken wants citizens to be safe during the holidays. Lock valuables out of sight, and be aware of surrounding while shopping, to decrease opportunities for criminals.
“Building Back Better” radio, as the Bob Rose Show kicks off Thursday. How 2-weeks-to-bend-the-curve transformed to mask and vaccine mandates, to vaccines being forced on our kids. With only 94 children dying from the virus, does the benefit of the vax outweigh the harm? Is there a NEED for protecting the least likely victims?
Guest Ryan Chamberlin on the Bob Rose Show Monday October 25, 2021. The new startup social media network, TPN, embraces the American values and the ability of individuals to express themselves free from the censorship of big tech and the federal government. The platform is not a political endeavor, but supports faith, family, free enterprise and freedom. Hear how to join TPN, now on the Bob Rose Show podcast.
Last night the City of Gainesville held a public hearing for residents and developers to discuss a proposed 6-story building near the Suburban Heights neighborhood at NW 23rd Avenue and NW 43rd Street. Developers say the mixed-use complex with 220 residences will actually reduce traffic in the busy area, compared to earlier plans. Gainesville residents were allowed to voice their concerns about the land use plan. Hear more on The Bob Rose Show.
Dr. John Littel details a conference for medical professionals and the public this Saturday. The "Florida Summit on COVID" is bringing experts to speak on the latest in treating the virus, addressing successes that are little talked about among medical providers.
The forum will focus on:
1-How does natural immunity work for those that have had COVID-19?
2-Are vaccines risky for children?
3-How effective are the latest therapeutics, how do they work, and what are the latest treatments?
Early treatment is critical, but providers need to be open to the newest science on caring for infections.
The conference is at the World Equestrian Center this Saturday November 6th between 10am and 3pm.
