# Yo Yo My Sovereigns, Wattup?

## Welcome to episode 205 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

### We kick the show off this week, announcing that this will be the last episode for 2025. For the last 4 years we have made an episode every week without fail, but this year I have travel plans, which we discuss a little during the show.

### So we will be back in January next year for episode 206, and Splinterlands 101 will become a fortnightly show rather than a weekly show, due to the massive increase in the speed of time 🤠

### Following on from last weeks Aura production experiment, we check in on that again, and I make some additional adjustments.

# ...

### Also, thanks to @druidsblood, last week we ran a competition to give away 5 Pickle skins, however, there were only 2 entries into the giveaway, so we will give the other 3 away on our next episode in January 2026.

# ...

# Congratulations to @slik-mov and @snowboarderpete, who each have received a Pickle skin.

# ...

### Matt then gives his update on the Chairman's Bounty action in the Splinterlands discord server.

# ...

### Then it's onto the Battle Section of the show, continuing on with our Ruleset Challenge theme, utilizing the customable challenge feature of the game, and going through the rulesets alphabetically, one episode at a time. This week being the [Maneuvers Ruleset](https://support.splinterlands.com/hc/en-us/articles/9123215350548-List-of-Splinterlands-Modifiers)

### So if you want to see some strategies based around picking your teams, defensively, or aggressively for this ruleset, then you're in the right place, because we share our reasons for team selection, as one of us shares our screen while picking our team. Then once the teams are submitted, we discuss our thoughts on the line-ups and make our predictions on how we think the battle will play out. Then of course the excitement of the real-time commentary as the battles actually play out 😎

### So, if you think that you're the BOSS of a particular ruleset, then we challenge you to come on the show and challenge us in the battle section, for the episode that your ruleset appears on.

# ...

### If you're interested in coming on the show to battle us in a future episode, either reply to this blog on the Hive post, or hit me up on discord (Bobaphet)

# Yo Yo My Sovereigns, Wattup?

## Welcome to episode 204 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

### Matt kicks the show off telling us about what he did with his land card allocation, crafting requirements etc.

### and gives us some details about a recent Tool concert that he attended.

### I then explain about a mistake that I made sending 340 Chaos legion Packs from Hive Engine, to In Game.

### So I take you through the correct and incorrect process to transfer packs, sharing my screen as I do so 🤠

### Matt then discusses the effects on the resource market after the availability of land cards.

# Also, thanks to @druidsblood, we have 5 pickle skins to give away. Watch the show for details on how to win one of five.

### Matt then gives his update on the Chairman's Bounty action in the Splintelands discord server.

# Welcome to episode 203 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

# ...

## **This episode, is another "Behind The Avatar" themed chat.**

### *Who is that person playing that toon that always flogs you in ranked battles?*

### Who is that, behind the keyboard, playing that avatar?

### Well this theme focuses on just that, meeting the person behind the avatar.

# ...

### In tonight's episode, we re-introduce the new Giotrix 2.0 😎

# ...

### And tonight's guest, better known to his YouTube fans as Gathering The Magic, @jovak joins us to share some of his story, both in and out of the Splinterlands Universe.

# ...

### We start the show off by asking the big question I always wonder about YouTube content creators, "Why YouTube, why not Hive?"

### This leads into a whole conversation around Jovak's plans around creating content, also touching on the possible upcoming ban that may include Splinterlands content.

### Which then leads into a conversation around the versatility of the Hive blockchain.

### We discuss the current crypto markets and the price of SPS.

# ...

### Jovak gives a shoutout to @beaker007's [Land Resource Website](https://land.spl-stats.com/) as huge recognition for the usefullness of his site.

### and we discuss in detail some of the features of the [Splinterlands: Inaugural Land Card Edition — Full Announcement & Technical Specification](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/splinterlands-inaugural-land-card-edition-full-announcement-and-technical-specification) post.

### and of course we can't have Jovak on the show and not go into detail on the current card market, so we take a look at the current state of Gold Foil Chaos Legion Cards, and a couple of other "hard to get cards" and we are all shocked!

# ...

# So join us for another *Behind the Avatar* player insight 😎

# Yo Yo My Sovereigns, Wattup?

# Welcome to episode **200** of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

## After a month in Cusco, I have now travelled to Guatemala, where I am staying at Hive Hub Guatemala, Del Lago Atitlan, run by @buttcoins. Anyone who has been involved with Hive in anyway would probably at least of heard of him, if not interacted with him.

# and what better place to record episode 200, than at a Hive Hub 😎

# ...

### and to help us celebrate 200 episodes (that's one episode a week, every week, for 3.8 years 🤠) we are joined by Splinterlands CEO, @yabapmatt, and one day after returning home from Hivefest Malaysia, and visiting @cryptomancer in Japan, @azircon joins us on the show, We also have @bjangles from @thepeoplesguild joining us and owner of Hive Hub Guatemala, @buttcoins joins us.

# ...

# @azircon meeting up with @cryptomancer in Japan

# ...

### So with that much Splinterlands experience and knowledge all in the same place, at the same time, already you can see that this is going to be an action packed episode that anyone who is serious about Splinterlands, wont want to miss!

# ...

## So what exactly do we talk about for 2 hours? Well, probably easier to answer, what don't we talk about? (short answer, nothing 🤡)

### Totally unscripted (in true SPL 101 style) conversations arise around upcoming changes to the game, existing changes to the game, what works well, what needs more work, DHF proposals (both Splinterlands and Hive) HBD, new player experience, SPS and a lot about land and crafting.

# ...

### Also with the upcoming censorship on YouTube around NFTs and crypto (get used to it in centralised land), I take the opportunity once again to emphasise the importance of blockchains like Hive and platforms like @threespeak being the answer to this censorship control. This is exactly the reason why @threespeak was created in the first place.

### and remember, as a Splinterlands player, you already automatically have a Hive account, start learning about it and taking advantage of what you are a part of.

# ...

# Oh yeh, I almost forgot 🤡, the giveaways.

## scattered throughout the episode will be the opportunity to win Chaos legion packs from myself, and also...

## courtesy of @yabapmatt and the Splinterlands team, we will be giving away,

# 5 Land Plots

# 5 Alchemy Packs

# and

# 20 Conclave Arcana Standard Packs

# Yo Yo My Sovereigns, Wattup?

# Welcome to episode 199 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

## After a month in Cusco, I have now travelled to Guatemala, where I am staying at Hive Hub Guatemala, Del Lago Atitlan, run by @buttcoins. Anyone who has been involved with Hive in anyway would probably at least of heard of him, if not interacted with him.

### We begin the show with Matt talking us through @davemccoy's [recent post about land cards](https://splinterlands-official.medium.com/splinterlands-land-card-update-349ee7360c09).

### Going through the post line by line, Matt explains in further detail what a lot of it means, what will be required, and also shares some personal strategies that he will be following.

### We also discuss the implications from @bronzedragon's video [Huge Change Set to Impact P2E YouTubers! Full Details!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3l5Lnl0dgQU) about the coming changes to YouTube, that could be the end of Splinterlands influencers being able to get there videos on YouTube.

### I take this opportunity though to jump on my soap box promoting @threespeak and Hive in general, for posting your Splinterlands content. If you have a Splinterlands account, then you automatically have a Hive account, so why not promote what you're doing, using what you're doing. You can then post a link to your content on X, to reach the market that aren't going to see your content on Hive, to bring them to Hive. Which is what I do.

# ...

### Then, for the "mind blowing" section of the show, if you've ever wondered what it looks like harvesting a castle, then wonder no more, as Matt shows what he gets harvesting his castle for his @roaringtwenties guild.

### Matt also goes into a little detail on @lordbutterfly's documentary about the Steem/Hive hardfork and how it may soon be available on Al Jazeera, and how he will be inviting all the Adelaide Hivers to his place to watch it.

### and... apology time, for some reason (possibly PEBKAC) the 2nd half of the show didn't record, I did however manage to salvage the last battle that we did from my battle history and recorded that and chucked it onto the end of the show and it was a totally awesome battle 🤠

# ...

### If you're interested in coming on the show to battle us in a future episode, either reply to this blog on the Hive post, or hit me up on discord (Bobaphet)

# **Yo Yo my sovereigns, wattup?**

# Continuing on with my exploration around the hills of Cusco, this three part documentary explores the absolutely incredible site of Sachsayhuaman.

## Easier said than done though at an altitude of 3,700m (12,100 feet)

# ...

## If you thought the previous videos contained some interesting stuff then this place will blow your mind.

## Join me, in this three part documentary, as I explore and climb, wherever I can get to within this site, showing conclusive evidence (imo) of total devastation in some past time, side by side with perfect cut stone blocks, blocks that that melted, flowed, then reset again almost instantly, and totally cooked blocks indistinguishable as such except for their positioning amongst preserved sections of wall.
