Bobby Valentine was a scrappy utility player who transitioned into one of the most colorful managers of his generation. He helped turn two doormat teams in the Texas Rangers and New York Mets around, and he has chronicled some great stories in his new book, Valentine's Way: My Adventurous Life and Times.
Bobby V chatted with Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur about managing those teams that were loaded with talent, his early use of analytics, his relationship with the late Tommy Lasorda, and of course his fake mustache after being ejected from a game.
