Our Washington County Pennsylvania has been at the center of Marcellus Shale oil and gas production for 17 years as the county has added gas well pads, pipelines, cryogenic processing plants and compressor stations, which continue to be built and enlarged, while air permitting by the state DEP remains inadequate to protect citizens of the Commonwealth and fulfill their Constitutional right of "clean air." 50 years ago, on Memorial Day 1971, Captain Paul Urquhart's Loach helicopter was shot down in Vietnam.
