In this podcast episode, host Susan Burns  interviews Dr. Sarah Brandon, founder of Canna Companion, a hemp pet supplement company. Dr. Brandon shares how her experience with her husband's joint issues led her to explore medical cannabis for pets, starting with her Rottweiler who had hip problems. From there, she and her husband started giving cannabis to every dog and cat they could find, keeping notes of everything in handwritten lab notebooks. They continued doing this throughout veterinary school and moved to Washington State where they eventually started Canna Companion in 2014. Today, the company has over 10,000 patients in its database and uses the data to develop new products and educate veterinarians and pet parents
