We deal with patients in their most vulnerable state. We see the world differently to everyone else. We learn to communicate effectively and to interact professionally with our patients at all times. We utilise a myriad of paralinguistic cues as well as verbal and non verbal communication techniques however, what happens when your patient's don't answer your questions, or cannot give you a clinical history?  What is it like to image the deceased all day long? 

Medical imaging is commonly used in the collection of forensic evidence around deceased people. Medical imaging autopsies are increasingly being used to determine the cause of death of patients. The deceased are bought into the medical imaging suite in a 'body bag'; sometimes it needs to be opened, sometimes it does not. In this episode we talk to a Radiographer who has worked clinically and then transitioned into the like of forensic medical imaging.
