Welcome to Body Shape Unpacked. In this episode, we explore what body shape means and how measurements can help us understand natural body proportions.
Body shape is generally described through the relationship between different measurements, including the bust or chest, waist, high hip, and hip. Depending on the classification method, shoulder measurements may also be considered. https://bodytypecalc.net/
We’ll introduce common body-shape categories such as hourglass, pear, apple, rectangle, triangle, and inverted triangle, while explaining that these categories are simply descriptive ways to understand proportions.
Accurate and consistent measurements can make these comparisons more useful. However, body-shape classifications do not determine a person's health, fitness, beauty, or personal value.
In future episodes, we'll explore individual body shapes, measurement techniques, proportions, and waist-to-hip ratio in more detail.
