I hear people, often experts in their field, talk about treating the root cause of health issues, yet they’re often just addressing symptoms.

A symptom is different than the root cause.

Symptoms are:

- Vitamin or mineral deficiencies

- Hormonal Imbalances

- Muscle imbalances

- Parasites or mold exposure

- Nervous system dysregulation

- Stagnant lymph

- Limiting beliefs

- Leaky gut, allergies or food sensitivities.

- Lack of discipline or willpower

These generally aren’t the root cause, but your body’s response to it.

They are the smoke, not the fire.

It can feel frustrating to throw so much time and money at trying to alleviate symptoms only to experience temporary relief, a flare up or a new symptom.

In my experience, the root cause varies for everyone, even those with the same diagnosis. The root cause can look like:

- Unresolved childhood trauma or core wounding

- A longterm pattern of feeling invalidated in childhood or that your basic needs for safety, support, stability and love weren’t met.

- Soul healing

- Feeling spiritually disconnected
