We're doing a double this week. I am traveling through Friday, so Kory, Jace and I put everything together in one convenient podcast talking about both the loss to Iowa and the upcoming game ith Ohio State. This week's highlights include:

- Injuries were the name of the game as Purdue lost Marcus Mbow for the year and Tyrone Tracy Jr. for a bit. 

- Some guys like Devin Mockobee and TJ Sheffield showed some positives as Purdue attempted a comeback. 

- It was also a breakout game for Garrett Miller. 

- In looking ahead to Ohio State, Purdue may need to rely on the bizarre hex it has over the Buckeyes when they come to West Lafayette. 

Kory is out this week, as he is in Canada to get honored by the Saskatchewan Roughriders as part of the 10th anniversary of them winning the Grey Cup behind his MVP effort. We do have a very special guest, however. Adam Jacobi of the Iowa Rivals site Go Iowa Awesome is here to talk about the Hawkeyes. He provides some great insight, including:

- Is the offense really that bad this year? 

- Deacon Hill is taking over as the starting quarterback, so what does that mean?

After a 44-19 win over Illinois to give the fans a Homecoming win and keep The Cannon in West Lafayette everyone is feeling much better. Purdue was dominant in the second half, using a 21-0 third quarter to break open a three-point game at halftime. Kory is back this week to discuss the win with Travis and Jace, including:

- Tyrone Tracy and Devin Mockobee continue to have success in the backfield, carrying Purdue. 

- Hudson Card managed the game well and had a bounceback steady performance. 

- Deion Burks continues to be a home run threat.

- Yanni Karlaftis had maybe the best game of his career in getting the start for an injured OC Brothers. 

- How does this build confidence before going to Iowa?

Kory is out sick for this one, but we still have Jace on to take a look at Purdue's homecoming opponent in the Illinois Fighting Illini. The highlights in this one:

- Both teams are struggling mightily on defense. Can Luke Altmyer take advantage of Purdue's struggles against the run?

- Will Purdue look to establish the run early against an Illinois defense that has not been good against the run? 

- How does Ryan Walters' familiarity with the Illinois defensive lineup help Purdue?

Kory is out this week, but Jace and Kyle were able to join Travis on Sunday night to talk about the latest loss to Wisconsin. As usual, the Badgers dominated physically up front, but there was still some fight in Purdue as the Boilers made somewhat of a game of it in the second half. This week's highlights include:

- Tyrone Tracy had another standout game and appears to be a real weapon going forward. 

- Braelon Allen had another huge game against Purdue, so the crew gives him credit. 

- Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen continues to be a consistent mover of the chains. 

- Hudson Card had maybe his worst game as a Boiler, but the guys are still believers in him. 

- Purdue might have found a new kicker as Julio Macias came on to make his first career field goal and a pair of extra points. 

- Kyle also offers his persective and an early look at Illinois. 

The Syracuse game was a rough one for Purdue fans. Between Garrett Shrader having a career night for the Orange, Purdue's struggles in short yardage, and a rash of fumbles Syracuse was able to roll to a 35-20 road win. The Off the Tracks trio of Travis, Jace, and Kory recaps the defeat, including:

- The impact of the early turnover inside the 10 and how Syracuse's lengthy drive changed everything. 

- Kory analyzes why Purdue is having such trouble in short yardage situations.
