Sam & Grant, the All-American, are recapping a tough loss to Illinois on Saturday at Mackey Arena. Freshman Keaton Wagler had 46 points, and the Illini hit 18 three-pointers to take down the Boilers 88-82.

Braden Smith led the way for Purdue with 27 points and 12 assists, and Trey Kaufman-Renn chipped in with 12 points.

They became the first team in 20 years to shoot over 56%, score 80+ points, turn the ball over 3 times or less, and lose.
