Boilermaker Lounge

We are one week away from the Boilers' travelling to Lexington to take on Kentucky for the first exhibition of the 2025-26 season!

Coach Matt Painter received a couple of awards that are HUGE, and should be recognized! Coach is also about to hit 500 wins (career & at Purdue).

When do the guys think he'll get these milestones?

Finally, Andy Katz released his top-10 sharpshooters in the country for this season. There was one GLARING omission... Fletcher Loyer was NOT on it!

What do the guys think about this?

It's a great show! ENJOY!

Sam & Grant are in Rosemont, IL for the #B1G men's basketball Media Days!

They were hoping to talk to the Boilers' Big 3, but commitments and tight scheduling kept them from getting all three.

They got a BIG 3 of their own!

They spoke with Fletcher Loyer, Dustin Schutte, and Robbie Hummel.

It's a packed show! The interviews with Loyer & Schutte had video issues, but the audio came through fine, so you will only see a static picture for their interviews! Robbie's interview went just fine, and you'll see that video!

ENJOY!

Sam & Grant have a lot to talk about this week!

After losing out on Bo Ogden and Ralph Scott, where do the guys see the Boilers going to fill their roster?

Who else is still in play for Purdue, and do the guys see the class being higher rated than they already are?

Before they missed out on Ogden and Scott, they got a commitment from forward Rivers Knight! The three-star recruit comes as part of the 2026 class that includes Luke Ertle and Jacob Webber!

The guys will discuss this addition to the roster.

It's a packed show, ENJOY!

Sam & Grant are back with our buddy, from Sports Illustrated, Dustin Schutte!

The #B1G schedule is set, and the gents have a TON to talk about!

Where might there be concern in the schedule? Is one portion tougher than any other portions? How many losses do they see during the conference schedule?

After the schedule talk, they shift to comments made by analyst Jon Rothstein about CJ Cox. He stated that Cox would have a breakout season, and the guys respond to that, and whether they are on board with it or have a different thought.

Finally, SportsGrid released its top 40 players entering the 2025-26 season. THREE Boilermakers made the list, with 2 being pretty obvious, the third might surprise you, and the guys will discuss it!

It's a PACKED show that ran a little overtime, but it's a good one! ENJOY!

Sam & Grant have a lot to chat about this week!

There is recruiting news to chat over! Quinn Costello committed to Michigan, and the guys will discuss the Boilers missing out on him, as well as others who are still in the mix for West Lafayette.

Additionally, the Field of 68 made a stop at Purdue to speak with Coach Painter and the players. What all did they discuss? What do the guys think about what was said?

It's a packed show! ENJOY!

Sam & Grant are talking about a few topics that have been covered before, but are getting updated.

Grant gives his thoughts on where Braden Smith ranks in the list of all-time Boilermakers!

They talk about Dick Vitale's All-Rolls-Royce teams, and the two Boilers who made his list.

There is MUCH more they cover!

It's a great show! ENJOY

Sam & Grant are discussing the recent commitment to the 2026 season, Jacob Webber! He makes 2026 commit #2, and the guys will discuss what they feel the impact will be!

After talking about Webber, who else could be coming to play in West Lafayette? Other recruits still have Purdue on their radar... which ones will hone in and land with the Boilermakers?

There are some other things they might talk about, and it's a great show!

ENJOY!

Sam & Grant are talking about the newcomers!

Purdue basketball released clips of each of the four new Boilermakers! The guys will discuss them and how they fit into what the Boilers are doing!

After that, Bart Torvik has projected the stats that Purdue might produce this season, including TKR being a top-15 scorer nationally. But how do the guys view these projections?

Another short description, but a loaded show! ENJOY!

Grant is out this week, so Sam has a friend of the show, Dustin Schutte, filling in!

The guys discuss where Braden Smith will rank, all-time at Purdue & all-time PG, once his career is done in West Lafayette.

If he were not to produce anything at all this season, where does he already rank?

What if he had not come to Purdue? Would we still be talking about the best PG in the country?

After that, some recruiting news will be covered, and take us into the weekend!

It's a great show! ENJOY!

Sam & Grant are diving deeper into the process that Coach Painter & staff use for recruiting. It's a three-point process, and it has yielded fantastic results over the last decade.

After the deep dive, they wrap up the show with a talk about Luke Ertle and his rise in the recruiting ranks for the class of 2026!

Not a lot of show description, but a great show! ENJOY!
