For our Bold Alpha Spirit of the Week we will actually sample 3 whiskies from Woodinville Whiskey in the state of Washington as Shayna Kaufman dropped by with their Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the Woodinville Straight Rye Whiskey and the Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Port Finished.

Alpha Dave is joined by Sommelier Tommy D, Captain Eric and the lovely Princess Debbie for 2021 Happy New Year Champagne and Sparkling Wine Tasting Maneuvers as they sample 11 wines, including a mystery wine, and 3 champagne cocktails.

Our Bold Alpha Spirit of the Week is the Laphroaig Cairdeas Triple Wood Islay Single Malt Whisky. This has earthy notes on the nose and has a very peaty taste and lots of fire and sizzle on the tongue as it's 119 proof.  You can add some water to open up the whisky and tame it down.

This week's Bold Alpha Spirit of the Week is Peerless Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey. This whiskey has some serious spice and sizzle with a little sweetness. It's a very complex rye whiskey with some lingering heat on the tip of the tongue from the barrel strength.

Today's Bold Alpha Spirit of the Week is the Hardy Cognac which has a nice aroma, no bite what so ever. It's smooth as silk with some sweetness, some fruit and some pear. It's a General's 5-star selection.
