What part of yourself have you been keeping small to make other people comfortable?
In this episode of Boldly Becoming, Kennyetta explores a question that led her to an unexpected discovery. What began as a reflection on hidden parts of herself uncovered something much deeper: the struggle wasn't hiding anger—it was withholding permission.
Permission to take up space.
Permission to have needs.
Permission to set boundaries.
Permission to disappoint people.
Permission to stop shrinking.
Together, we'll examine how healing isn't always about becoming softer or more accommodating. Sometimes healing gives us a voice. Sometimes healing teaches us that being visible is not the same thing as being prideful. And sometimes healing invites us to stop managing everyone else's comfort and start honoring the person God created us to be.
In this episode, we discuss:
• Why many of us hide parts of ourselves to make others comfortable
• The difference between anger and the message beneath it
• How healing can create courage, confidence, and clarity
• The danger of shrinking to fit other people's expectations
• What it means to occupy the space God already assigned to you
Because healing was never just about surviving.
Healing was always preparing you to become visible.

This July, we're exploring what it means to be seen—not for attention, applause, or validation, but because God never intended for us to hide the growth, healing, wisdom, and purpose He has cultivated within us.
In this special trailer episode, Kennyetta shares the tension of being an introvert who often prefers the background while recognizing God's invitation to step forward in faith. Together, we'll explore authenticity, confidence, vulnerability, emotional courage, self-expression, and the journey of embracing the person God is calling us to become.
This month, we're talking about:
• What part of ourselves we've kept small
• Building confidence without performing
• Stewardship, joy, and purpose
• Grieving old versions of ourselves
• Romanticizing life versus living it
• The people who believed in us before we believed in ourselves
• What happens when we stop shrinking in rooms God already called us to occupy
Because healing was never just about surviving.
Healing was always preparing you to become visible.
So Boldarians, welcome to July.
Let's grow.
Let's stretch.
Let's be seen.
And as always...
Let's keep becoming boldly.
🚨 Wait One Boldarian Minute...
No, your podcast app isn't broken.
No, you didn't accidentally skip an episode.
And no... I didn't forget about Monday. 😉
Before we jump into our brand-new July series, Be Seen, I wanted to take one Boldarian minute (okay... maybe just a little longer 😄) to pause.
No deep dive.
No homework.
No companion journal.
Just a quick reminder to breathe, reflect, thank God for June, and prepare your heart for what's ahead.
Think of this as our little coffee break between chapters.
Now...
Take a deep breath.
And... wait one Boldarian minute.
See you next week, Boldarians!
When I originally planned this recap, I thought June was going to be a conversation about rest, joy, and slowing down.
But life had another chapter to write.
Over the past few weeks, I found myself navigating painful conversations, unexpected loss, grief, and the reminder that even when life feels heavy, God's presence never leaves.
This isn't just a recap of the episodes we released in June.
It's a testimony.
In this deeply personal reflection, I share how God quietly prepared my heart through each June episode before I even knew what was coming, how a simple glance at my calendar reminded me of answered prayers I had stopped noticing, and why this month changed the way I understand healing, gratitude, and God's faithfulness.
If you're walking through grief...
If you're carrying disappointment...
If you're trying to find hope in the middle of a difficult season...
I pray this conversation reminds you that you are not walking through it alone.
Because sometimes we're so busy living answered prayers...
...that we forget they were once prayers.
Thank you for being part of the Boldarian community. Thank you for allowing me to share not only my victories, but also the places where God continues to meet me in my becoming.
As always...
Continue living boldly, walking in purpose, and answering the call on your life.
Hello Boldarians,
Some relationships shape us in ways we don't fully understand until years later.
In this Father's Day reflection, we're exploring the relationships that become emotional anchors in our lives—the people who provide safety, steadiness, wisdom, protection, and support through life's hardest seasons.
This episode is a personal reflection on fatherhood, healing, gratitude, resilience, and the ways our relationships with fathers often influence how we understand trust, strength, love, and emotional safety.
We'll explore:
Because sometimes home is not a place.
Sometimes home is the people who hold us together when life tries to break us apart.
This episode is dedicated to the fathers who showed up, stayed present, carried responsibility quietly, and loved the best way they knew how.
And to my dad...
thank you.
Hello Boldarians,
When was the last time you were fully present in your own life?
Not multitasking.
Not rushing.
Not thinking about the next thing on your to-do list.
Just present.
In this bonus episode, we're talking about the quiet lessons summer teaches us about slowing down, noticing beauty, and reconnecting with the moments we often rush past.
From childhood wonder to rainy-day memories, we explore how adulthood can slowly disconnect us from presence—and how healing sometimes looks like intentionally returning to it.
We'll explore:
Because maybe healing isn't always about fixing something.
Maybe sometimes healing looks like noticing the rain, watching the sunset, turning off your phone, and remembering that life is happening now.
So the next time it rains, Boldarians...
Maybe go outside.
Hello Boldarians,
Why do so many of us wait until something falls apart before we finally give ourselves permission to live differently?
After burnout, we prioritize rest.
After heartbreak, we rediscover ourselves.
After crisis, we finally slow down long enough to notice what really matters.
But what if joy was never supposed to require suffering first?
In this episode, we're exploring the ways survival mode can disconnect us from presence, creativity, beauty, and everyday joy. We talk about rest, self-worth, nervous system healing, faith, and the importance of creating a life that allows you to experience it while you're still living it.
We'll explore:
Maybe healing is also about relearning aliveness.
Maybe joy isn't something you earn after suffering.
Maybe you're allowed to experience your life right now.
Summer has a way of making connection feel visible everywhere.
The vacations.
The weddings.
The cookouts.
The brunches.
The girls' trips.
The family gatherings.
And while some people move through this season without giving it much thought, others find themselves becoming more aware of something deeper: a desire for understanding, community, and meaningful connection.
In this bonus episode, we're having an honest conversation about seasonal loneliness, friendship, singleness, belonging, and the tension between being emotionally grounded while still acknowledging your humanity.
We'll explore:
Because being fulfilled does not mean you never experience longing.
And being emotionally healthy does not mean you stop needing connection.
If this season feels a little tender for you, this conversation is for you.
You are not broken.
You are human.
Have you ever noticed how different you feel on vacation?
You laugh easier.
You breathe deeper.
You move slower.
You feel lighter, softer, more connected to yourself… and maybe even more connected to God.
But what happens when you return home?
Where does that version of you go?
In this episode, we explore the emotional reality behind why so many of us feel more alive when we’re away from our everyday responsibilities. We talk about nervous system exhaustion, survival mode, emotional disconnection, and the deeper truth that maybe vacation doesn’t create a different version of us — maybe it simply removes the pressure long enough for us to reconnect with who we already are.
This conversation explores:
Maybe the goal isn’t escape.
Maybe the goal is building a life where you feel alive here too.
This episode is for the people who have become so used to surviving that slowing down almost feels unfamiliar.
This week, we’re talking about intentional rest — not avoidance, not sleep, not vacation, but the kind of rest that forces you to finally sit with yourself honestly.
In this episode, I open up about realizing how emotionally, mentally, and spiritually depleted I had become while still functioning every day. We discuss the guilt that can surface when we choose ourselves, the discomfort of disconnecting from constant productivity, and why many of us have become more comfortable being needed than being nourished.
We’ll explore:
Maybe you don’t need permission to collapse first before finally slowing down.
Maybe you’re allowed to rest now.
So take a breath, Boldarians.
This episode is an invitation to reconnect with yourself gently.
